CSO Quick Index of Creation Scriptures
The CSO Quick Index of
Creation Scriptures is a list of Biblical references to creation grouped in
categories. The same information is found in CSO Topic 3 but there the
Scriptures are listed in the order they appear in the Bible.
There is no evolution in the Bible at all. As you
go through the Bible, it is absolutely
relentless in its affirmation of this truth about origins :
·
There are at least 165 passages in the book of Genesis that are either
directly quoted or clearly referred to in the New Testament.
·
Many of them are alluded to more than once with the result that there
are at least 200 quotations or references to Genesis in the New Testament
alone.
·
The New Testament also contains more than 100 quotations or direct
references to the first eleven chapters of Genesis.
·
Every New Testament author refers to the first eleven chapters of
Genesis.
·
And every New Testament book refers to the first eleven chapters of
Genesis except for Galatians, Philippians, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, 2 Timothy,
Titus, Philemon, 2 John and 3 John.
Clearly, the historicity of
the first eleven chapters of Genesis is critical to the entire New Testament
and therefore to Christianity.
In addition, the Bible
clearly states in John 1:1-3,14, Ephesians 3:9, Colossians 1:15-17, Hebrews
1:2-3 and Revelation 3:14 that Jesus Christ Himself is the Creator God of the
entire physical universe … These scriptures thoroughly refute the “big
bang” theory of the origin of the universe and refute every atheistic and
theistic evolutionist theory of origins : God did not use evolution
because evolution never happened and cannot happen. Nor did God use a big bang
or millions or billions of years to cause the universe somehow to come into
existence : a big bang never happened and the universe is young and newly
created, as verified again and again by the Bible, by astronomy and by all
scientific evidence.
The following Bible
references to God as the one and only Creator of the universe and to Genesis
chapters 1 to 11 clearly show that the Bible supports only a young,
created universe 6,000 years old created by Jesus Christ Himself alone using
the sole mechanism of Christ literally speaking and commanding the
physical universe to come into existence from nothing. There are no other
Biblical possibilities. All scriptures are taken from the Amplified Version,
the New King James Version and the New International Version of the Bible.

Quick Index with
the Biblical Texts :
1. God the Father is the Creator :
- Genesis 1:1 says, “In
the beginning God (prepared,
formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth.” God Himself
created the heavens and the earth and He created it all by speaking, not by allowing some hypothetical cosmic “big bang” explosion
to start a multi-billion-year imaginary evolutionary process.
- Genesis 1:31
to Genesis 2:3 says, “And
God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good
(suitable, pleasant) and He approved it completely. And there was evening
and there was morning, a sixth day. Thus the heavens and the earth were
finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His
work which He had done; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work
which He had done.”
·
1 Samuel 2:8 says, “For the
pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and He has set the world upon
them.”
- Nehemiah
9:6-7 says, “You
are the Lord, You alone; You have
made the heaven, the heaven of heavens with all their host, the earth, and
all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and You preserve them all …You are the
Lord.” In Scripture, God is given the full glory and honor for creation.
·
In Job 10:3, 8-12, Job says to God, “Does it seem good to
You that You should oppress, that You should despise the work of Your hands …
? … Your hands have made me and fashioned me, an intricate unity; yet
You would destroy me. Remember, I pray, that You have made me like clay.
And will You turn me into dust again ? Did You not … clothe me with skin and
flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews ? You have granted me life
and favor, and Your care has preserved my spirit.”
·
In Job 33:6, Elihu
says, “Behold, I am toward God and before Him even as you are; I also am formed out of the clay …” This
refers to the Genesis account of God creating the first man Adam out of the
clay or earth of the ground around 4,004 BC.
·
In Job 35:10-11 Elihu says, “But
no one says, Where is God my Maker,
Who gives me songs of rejoicing in the night, Who teaches us more than the
beasts of the earth and makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens ?”
·
Job 38:1-6 says, “Then the Lord answered Job out of the
whirlwind and said, … Where were you when I
laid the foundation of the earth ? … Who determined the measures of the
earth, if you know ? Or who stretched the measuring line upon it ? Upon what
were the foundations of it fastened, or who laid its cornerstone … ?”
·
In Job 38:31-32, God says to
Job, “Can you bind the chains of [the cluster of stars called] Pleiades, or
loose the cords of [the constellation] Orion ? Can you lead forth the signs of
the zodiac in their season ? Or can you guide [the stars of] the Bear with her
young ?”
- Psalm 8:3-5 also cites God as the creator of the sun, the
moon and all of mankind : “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your
fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him … ?
You have made him [humanity] a
little lower than God.”
- Psalm 65:6-8 says, “… Who by
[Your] might have founded the mountains … so that those who dwell in
earth’s farthest parts are afraid of [nature’s] signs of Your presence.”
- Psalm
74:16-17 says, “The
day is Yours, the night also is Yours; You
have established the [starry] light and the sun. You have fixed all the borders of the earth [the divisions of
land and sea and of the nations]; You
have made summer and winter.” The stars and the seasons did not create themselves.
- Psalm
86:9-10 says, “There
is none like unto You among the gods, O Lord, neither are their works like
unto Yours. All nations whom You
have made shall come and fall down before You, O Lord; and they shall
glorify Your name. For You are great and work wonders ! You alone are God.”
- Psalm 90:1-2 says, “Lord, You have
been our dwelling place and our refuge in all generations … Before the
mountains were brought forth or ever You
had formed and given birth to the earth and the world, even from
everlasting to everlasting You are God. You turn man back to dust and corruption, and say, Return, O
sons of the earthborn [to the earth].” God
formed the planet and then made Adam from the dust of the earth.
- Psalm
104:1-26 is full of
allusions to the creation week and the global Flood. It says, “[You are
the One] Who covers Yourself with
light as with a garment, Who stretches
out the heavens like a curtain or tent … You laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be
moved forever. You covered it
with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains. At Your rebuke they fled; at the voice
of Your thunder they hastened away. The mountains rose, the valleys sank
down to the place which You appointed for them. You have set a boundary [for the waters] which they may not
pass over, that they turn not again to deluge the earth. … He causes vegetation to grow for
the cattle, and all that the earth produces for man to cultivate, that he
may bring forth food out of the earth – and wine that gladdens the heart
of man, to make his face shine more than oil, and bread to support,
refresh, and strengthen man’s heart. … The Lord appointed the moon for the seasons; the sun knows [the
exact time of] its setting. … O Lord, how many and varied are Your works ! In wisdom have You made them all; the earth is
full of Your riches and Your creatures.
Yonder is the sea, great and wide, in which are swarms of innumerable
creeping things, creatures both small and great. There go the ships of the
sea, and Leviathan (the sea monster), which You have formed to sport in it.”
It was God who stretched out the heavens like a
tent curtain, He laid the foundations
of the earth, He made the oceans and
covered the earth with them, and He made
the earth and made the wild animals and the plants grow. There is no mention of evolution here at all.
- Psalm
115:15-16 says, “May
you be blessed of the Lord, Who made
heaven and earth ! The heavens are the Lord’s heavens, but the earth
has He given to the children of men.”
- Psalm 124:8 says, “Our help is in
the name of the Lord, Who made
heaven and earth.”
- Psalm 134:3 says, “The Lord bless
you out of Zion, even He Who made
heaven and earth.”
- Psalm
135:5-6 says, “For I
know that the Lord is great and that our Lord is above all gods. Whatever
the Lord pleases, that has He done
in the heavens and on earth, in the seas and all deeps – Who causes the
vapors to arise from the ends of the earth, Who makes lightnings for the
rain, Who brings the wind out of His storehouses …”
- Psalm
146:5-6 says, “Happy
… is he who has the God of [special revelation to] Jacob for his help,
whose hope is in the Lord his God, Who
made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them …”
·
Psalm 147:7-8
says, “…our God ! – Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who prepares rain
for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.” God is not only the
Creator of the universe, the Bible clearly tells us that He is also the
Sustainer and Maintainer of the universe.
·
Psalm 148:3-5 says, “Praise Him, sun and moon, praise Him, all you
shining stars. Praise Him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.
Let them praise the name of the Lord, for He
commanded and they were created.”
·
Proverbs 3:19-20 says, “The Lord
by skillful and godly Wisdom has founded the earth; by understanding He has established the heavens. By His knowledge the deeps were broken up,
and the skies distill the dew.”
·
Proverbs 14:31 says, “He who oppresses the poor reproaches, mocks,
and insults his Maker, but he who is
kind and merciful to the needy honors Him.”
·
Proverbs 17:5 says, “Whoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker …”
·
Proverbs 22:2 says, “The rich and poor meet together; the Lord is the Maker of them all.”
·
Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has made
everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts,
except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”
This also echoes God’s creation verdict “…and God saw that it was good” in
Genesis 1:31.
·
Ecclesiastes 12:1 says, “Remember [earnestly] also your Creator [that you are not your own, but
His property now] in the days of your youth …”
·
Ecclesiastes 12:6-7 says, “Remember your Creator
before the silver cord [of death] is loosed … Then the dust will return to
the earth as it was and the spirit will return to God who gave it.” This also
echoes Genesis 2:7 and Genesis 3:19.
·
Isaiah 17:7 says, “In that day will men look to their Maker, and their eyes shall regard the Holy One of Israel.” God Himself, the Holy One of Israel, is our
Maker.
·
Isaiah 27:11 says, “For they are a people of no understanding or
discernment – witless folk; therefore He
Who made them will not have compassion on them, and He Who formed them will show them no favor.”
·
Isaiah 37:15-16 says, “Then Hezekiah
prayed to the Lord, saying, ‘O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, the One Who dwells
between the cherubim. You are God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the
earth. You have made heaven and earth.’ ”
·
Isaiah 37:23-26 says, “Whom have you
[Sennacherib, king of Assyria] reproached and blasphemed ? Against whom have
you raised your voice, and lifted up your eyes on high ? Against the Holy One of
Israel. By your servants you have reproached the Lord, and said, ‘By the
multitude of my chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the
limit of Lebanon.’ … Did you not hear long ago how I made it, from ancient
times that I formed it ?”
- Isaiah 43:7 says, “Even everyone
who is called by My name, whom I have
created for My glory, whom I have
formed, whom I have made.”
- Isaiah
43:10-13 says, “Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be
after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no savior. …
Indeed before the day was, I am He …” Before the first day of
creation, when time itself began 6,000 years ago, God existed. There is no
Creator God other than Him.
·
Isaiah 45:9 is a warning to the evolutionist, “Woe to the one
who quarrels with his Maker.”
- Isaiah 45:18 says, “For thus says
the Lord, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the
earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in
vain, Who formed it to be inhabited : I
am the Lord and there is no other.”
- Isaiah 64:8 says, “But now, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You
our potter; and all we are the work of Your hand.”
·
Jeremiah 5:21-22 says, “Hear now
this, O foolish people [of Israel] without understanding or heart, who have eyes
and see not, who have ears and hear not : Do you not fear and reverence Me ?
says the Lord. Do you not tremble before Me ? I placed the sand for the boundary of the sea, a perpetual barrier
beyond which it cannot pass and by an everlasting ordinance beyond which it
cannot go ? … [Is not such a God to be reverently feared and worshiped ?]” God
Himself personally and directly created and formed the sand, the seas and their
boundaries; they did not somehow create themselves over millions of
years of hypothetical evolutionary time.
- Jeremiah
10:16 says, “The Portion of Jacob [the true God on Whom Israel has a
claim] is not like these [i.e. idols], for
He is the Fashioner and Maker of all things, and Israel is the tribe
of His inheritance – the Lord of hosts is His name.”
- Jeremiah
27:4-5 says, “…
Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel … I have made the earth, the men, and the beasts that are upon
the face of the earth by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and I
give it to whomever it seems right and suitable to Me.”
- Jeremiah
31:35 says, “Thus
says the Lord, Who gives the sun for a light by day and the fixed order of
the moon and of the stars for a light by night, Who stirs up the sea’s
roaring billows or stills the waves when they roar – the Lord of hosts is
His name …” God created all these things, they did not create themselves in a hypothetical “big bang” cosmic
explosion 17 billion years ago.
·
Jeremiah 32:16-18 says, “Now when
I had delivered the purchase deed to Baruch son of Neriah, I prayed to the
Lord, saying : Alas, Lord God ! Behold,
You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your
outstretched arm ! There is nothing too hard or too wonderful for You – You
Who show loving-kindness to thousands but recompense the iniquities of the
fathers into the bosoms of their children after them. The great, the mighty
God; the Lord of hosts is His name …”
·
Jeremiah 38:16 says, “So
Zedekiah the king swore secretly to Jeremiah, saying ‘As the Lord lives, Who made our very souls, I will not put you to
death, nor will I give you into the hand of these men who seek your life.’ ”

things; and Israel is the tribe of His inheritance. The Lord of hosts
is His name.”
- Amos 4:13 says, “For behold, He Who forms the mountains and creates
the wind and declares to man what is his thought, Who makes the
morning darkness and treads on the heights of the earth – the Lord, the
God of hosts, is His name !”
·
Malachi 2:10 says, “Have we not all one Father ? Has not one
God created us ?” Man is not the
end product of an evolutionary chain but is a creation of God, as is everything
else.
·
Romans 1:25 says, “Because they exchanged the truth of God for a
lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever !”
- Colossians
3:10 says, “Do
not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,
and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the
image of Him who created him …”

1 Timothy 4:2-4 says, “Through the hypocrisy and pretensions of
liars whose consciences are seared (cauterized), who forbid people to marry and
[teach them] to abstain from [certain kinds of] foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving … For
everything God has created is good …”
·
Hebrews 2:7 says, “For some little time You have ranked him
[i.e. mankind] lower than and inferior to the angels; You have crowned him with
glory and honor and set him over the
works of Your hands …”
- Hebrews 2:10 says, “… He,
for Whose sake and by Whom all
things have their existence.”
- 1 Peter 4:19 says, “Therefore, let
those who suffer according to the will of God entrust their souls to a
faithful Creator.” So God is our faithful Creator.
2. The Holy
Spirit is the Creator :
- In Job 26:13 Job says, “By His Spirit
He adorned the heavens …”
- Job 33:3-4 says, “My
words shall express the uprightness of my heart, and my lips shall speak
what they know with utter sincerity. [It is] the Spirit of God that made me [which has stirred me up], and the
breath of the Almighty that gives me life [which inspires me].” The
speaker here is Elihu, the youngest of Job’s four companions and the only
companion of Job’s whom God did not rebuke
for lying to Job about reality and about God’s character.
- Psalm 33:6 says, “By the word of
the Lord the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath of
His mouth.” The word translated “breath” is the same as the Hebrew word for “spirit”.
- Psalm 104:30 says, “You send forth
Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth.”
3. And Jesus
Christ, the Son of God, is the Creator :
- John 1:1-3,
14 clearly states that nothing in the entire
universe ever evolved and that Jesus
Christ Himself personally created the universe and everything in it. There
never was a “big bang” nor is the universe millions or billions of years
old : “In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and
the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present
originally with God. All things were made and came into existence through
Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.
… And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed
His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory
(His honor, His majesty) …” John 1:1-3, Ephesians 3:9, Colossians 1:15-17,
Hebrews 1:2-3 and Revelation 3:14 are the five most important scriptures
in the Bible about the identity of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ Himself is the Creator of the universe. He spoke
everything into being 6,000 years ago exactly as described in Genesis. And
He, the Creator God Himself incognito as a man, has become our Redeemer … As
Revelation 14:6-7 repeats, this astounding fact is the eternal Christian
gospel.
·
Ephesians 3:9 says, “… God, who created all things by Christ Jesus.” The Bible is absolutely clear and
emphatic in its claim that Jesus Christ Himself is the Creator of the entire
physical universe …
- Colossians
1:15-17 speaks of Christ – God the Creator Himself – saying, “He is the
exact likeness of the unseen God [the visible representation of the
invisible]; He is the Firstborn of all creation. For it was in Him that
all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things
unseen … all things were created and exist through Him and in and for Him.
And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist
(cohere, are held together).” This scripture is closely linked to John
1:1-3, Ephesians 3:9, Hebrews 1:2-3 and Revelation 3:14 which also clearly
and emphatically state that Jesus Christ is the Creator God Himself who
personally spoke the entire universe into existence 6,000 years ago –
with no big bang, no evolution and no billions of years involved at all.
The term
“Firstborn of all creation” means that He is the most preeminent and supreme
Being in all of creation. It does not mean that at one time He did not exist.
The firstborn son in a Jewish family would receive the full inheritance from
his father as well as ownership of the family business. Jesus Christ – as the
Creator God Himself and the second person in the Trinity of Father, Son and
Holy Spirit – has always existed. This phrase is simply used to convey His
supreme rank and power over all of creation and that He receives all of the
creation that He made from God the Father. But
Jesus Christ is not just the Creator and Redeemer, He is also the Sustainer and
Maintainer of the entire universe, upholding all things from atoms to people
and from governments to galaxies …
- Hebrews
1:2-3 says that
God made and maintains the entire physical universe through His
Son, Jesus Christ, “[But] in the last of these days He has spoken to
us in [the person of a] Son [i.e. Jesus Christ] Whom He appointed Heir and
lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds
and the reaches of space and the ages of time [He made, produced, built,
operated, and arranged them in order] … He is the perfect imprint and very
image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and
propelling the universe by His mighty word of power.” This fact is
repeated in John 1:1-3, Ephesians 3:9, Colossians 1:15-17 and Revelation
3:14.
- In Revelation
3:14, Jesus Christ says, “And to the angel (messenger) of the
assembly (church) in Laodicea write : These are the words of the Amen, the
trusty and faithful and true Witness, the Origin and Beginning and Author of God’s creation …” The
original Greek text of this scripture says that Jesus Christ is the
“Beginning” – literally, that He is “the
Beginner, Originator, Initiator” – of creation and that He is the most
preeminent, supreme person ever born. The Bible clearly and repeatedly
states that Jesus Christ is the Creator God Himself Who personally made
the entire physical universe …
4. Jesus Christ also
maintains the entire universe :
- Colossians
1:15-17 speaks of Christ – God the Creator Himself – saying, “He is the
exact likeness of the unseen God [the visible representation of the
invisible]; He is the Firstborn of all creation. For it was in Him that
all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things
unseen … all things were created and exist through Him and in and for Him.
And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist
(cohere, are held together).” Jesus
Christ is not just the Creator and Redeemer, He is also the Sustainer and
Maintainer of the entire universe, upholding all things from atoms to
people and from governments to galaxies …
- Hebrews
1:2-3 says that
God made and maintains the entire physical universe through His
Son, Jesus Christ, “[But] in the last of these days He has spoken to
us in [the person of a] Son [i.e. Jesus Christ] Whom He appointed Heir and
lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds
and the reaches of space and the ages of time [He made, produced, built,
operated, and arranged them in order] … He is the perfect imprint and very
image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and
propelling the universe by His mighty word of power.” This fact is
repeated in Colossians 1:15-17.
5. How Jesus Christ
created the universe :
- Job 26:7,
13-14 says, “He it is Who spreads out the
northern skies over emptiness and hangs
the earth upon or over nothing. … By His breath the heavens are garnished … Yet these are but [a
small part of His doings] the outskirts of His ways or the mere fringes of
His force, the faintest whisper of His voice !”
- Psalm 33:6-7 says, “By the Word
of the Lord were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath
of His mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea into jars [or as into a
heap]; he puts the deep into storehouses.” God spoke and it was done. There was no evolutionary process involved at all anywhere or at any time in creation.
- Psalm 33:8-9 tells us more about the
way God created the world : He spoke
it all into being, “Let all the earth fear the Lord [revere and
worship Him]; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For
He spoke and it was done; He commanded and it stood fast.”
- Hebrews 11:3 says, “By faith we
understand that the worlds were framed by
the Word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which
are visible.” So the worlds were framed by the Word of God – not by
evolution. This Scripture says that what we see in the created world was not made out of some other
material. This is an absolute statement that totally discounts evolution. God Himself made everything we see in the physical
universe and He did this instantaneously by speaking it into being
during the creation week 6,000 years ago.
6.
The
Bible’s definitions of God are always as the only Creator of the
entire universe :
·
Definition
of God #1 (by God Himself) : In Isaiah 42:5-6,
God defines Himself as the Creator of
everything : “Thus says God the Lord – He who created the heavens and
stretched them forth, He who spread abroad the earth and that which comes out
of it, He who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in
it : I the Lord have called you for a righteous purpose …” Isaiah honours God as Creator.
·
Definition
of God #2 (by God Himself again) : Isaiah 40:25-28 speaks
of God’s creative power, “To whom then will you liken Me, that I should be
equal to him ? says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high and see ! Who has
created these [i.e. the stars] ? He Who brings out their host by number and
calls them all by name … Have you not known ? Have you not heard ? The
everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of
the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of
His understanding.” God defines Himself as
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
- Definition of God #3 (by Melchizedeck, king of
Jerusalem and priest) : Genesis
14:18-19 says, “Melchizedeck king of Salem [later called
Jerusalem] … was the priest of God Most High, and he blessed him and said,
Blessed … be Abram by God Most High,
Possessor and Maker of heaven and earth …”
- Definition of God #4 (by King David) : In 1 Chronicles 16:24-26, David says, “Declare His glory
among the nations, His marvelous works among all peoples. For great is the
Lord and greatly to be praised; He also is to be [reverently] feared above
all so-called gods. For all the gods of the people are [lifeless] idols, but the Lord made the heavens.”
- Definition of God #5 (by the prophet Jonah) : Jonah 1:9 says, “So he [Jonah] said to them, I am
a Hebrew, and I [reverently] fear and worship the Lord, the God of
heaven, Who made the sea and the dry land.”
- Definition of God #6 (by Peter, John and all
the believers in the New Testament Jerusalem church) : Acts 4:24 says, “O
Sovereign Lord, You are He Who made the heaven and the earth and the
sea and everything that is in them ...” That’s as comprehensive as you
can say it.
- Definition of God #7 (by Paul and Barnabas to
the unbelievers at Lystra) : Acts
14:15 says, “We also are [only] human beings, of nature like your
own, and we bring you the good news (Gospel) that you should turn away
from these foolish and vain things to
the living God, Who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and
everything that they contain.” In this Scripture reference, Paul and
Barnabas are preaching the gospel in a pagan environment at Lystra and
they say, “The God who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and
everything that they contain.” The very definition of God is the one and only Creator of the universe
and of all that the universe contains.
- Definition of God #8 (by Paul to the
unbelievers at Athens) : In Acts
17:24-25, Paul encounters the Greek philosophers on the Areopagus,
the auditorium on Mars Hill in Athens, and tells them about the God whom
they do not yet know, “The God who produced and formed the world and all
things in it, being Lord of heaven and earth … gives life and breath and
all things to all [people].” That’s
who God is ! It’s not obscure
! And it’s totally exclusive of any
evolutionary process. The Bible repeatedly identifies God as the
Creator and the only Creator.
The idea that God supernaturally and instantaneously within one week
created everything – without any evolutionary
process at all – permeates right throughout the entire Old and New
Testaments.
- Definition of God #9 (by all of Heaven and the
angels) : In Revelation 10:5-6,
the angel identifies God as “Him Who lives for ever and ever, Who created
heavens (sky) and all they contain, and the earth and all that it
contains, and the sea and all that it contains.” This is absolutely
unmistakable that the definition of God is the Creator of the
entire universe.
7. The Bible clearly
says that evolution did not happen at all :
- Psalm 100:3 says, “Know (perceive,
recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God ! It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are is] !”
Evolution is the philosophy that we made ourselves. Psalm 100:3 says that
evolution is false and did not happen. We did not make ourselves. God made
us.
- 1
Corinthians 15:38-39 says, “But
God gives to it [i.e. a planted seed] the body that He plans and sees fit,
and to each kind of seed a body of its own. For all flesh is not the same,
but there is one kind for humans, another for beasts, another for birds,
and another for fish.”
- In 1
Corinthians 15:45-49 Paul says, “Thus it is written, The
first man Adam became a living being (an individual personality); the last
Adam (Christ) became a life-giving Spirit [restoring the dead to life].
But it is not the spiritual life which came first, but the physical and
then the spiritual. The first man [was] from out of earth, made of dust …
the second Man [is] the Lord from out of heaven. … And just as we have
borne the image [of the man] of dust, so shall we and so let us also bear
the image [of the Man] of heaven.” This clearly repeats the Genesis
account that Adam was a real, physical man and was also the very first man
in existence.
- Hebrews 11:3 says, “By faith we
understand that the worlds were framed by
the Word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which
are visible.” So the worlds were framed by the Word of God – not by
evolution. Evolution did not happen as everything was created from what is
unseen, not from previously existing mutated things. This Scripture
says that what we see in the created world was not made out of some other material. This is an absolute
statement that totally discounts
evolution. God Himself made everything
we see in the physical universe.
- James 3:9 says, “With it [i.e.
our tongues] we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse men who
were made in God’s likeness.”
8. What does Heaven
think of creation versus evolution ? :
- In Revelation
4:11, the angel says,
“Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and
dominion ...” Why ? “… for You
created all things; by Your will they were [brought into being] and
were created.”
- Revelation
5:13 says, “And I
heard every created thing in
heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea and all that is in
it …” That’s all there are. There aren’t
evolved things, there are just created things. The Bible does not say “every created thing and
all the mutated things”.
9. According to
Jesus Christ Himself, as the ideas of a big bang, a multi-billion year old
universe and theistic evolution are all false, they all therefore come
directly from Satan :
- In John
8:43-44 Jesus says, “Why do you misunderstand what I say ? It is
because you are unable to hear what I am saying. [You cannot bear to
listen to My message; your ears are shut to My teaching.] You are of your
father, the devil, and it is your will to practice the lusts and gratify
the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer
from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no
truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to
him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is
false.”
As the idea of
evolution is a falsehood in its entirety, we therefore know that the idea of
evolution comes entirely from Satan. Since the earth and the universe are not
17 billion years old but are 6,000 years old as the Bible says and science and
astronomy have both confirmed, we therefore know that the “big bang” theory and
its idea of a 10-20 billion year old universe also come from Satan. But most
Christian leaders today teach that God supposedly used evolution to make people,
plants and animals somehow come into existence over vast aeons of time and they
also teach that God supposedly used a hypothetical cosmic “big bang” explosion
to make the universe and earth come into existence billions of years ago. We
therefore know that such Christians are teaching people nothing less than a
doctrine of Satan. And that is the verdict of Jesus Christ Himself. A big bang
never happened and the earth and universe are 6,000 years old just as the Bible
clearly says.
10. The Bible clearly
states that Genesis is true history :
- Genesis 2:4 says, “This is the history of the heavens and of the
earth when they were created. In
the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens …” The Biblical
creation of the universe around 6,000 years ago is history, and not allegory,
moral myth, poetry or “spiritual truth”.
- Genesis
5:1-32 gives the
detailed, complete, historic genealogy of Adam down to Noah, who
was the 9th generation after Adam. The entire book of Genesis
claims irrefutably to be a book of factual history, not allegory,
myth, “spiritual truth” or poetry : “This is the book (the written record,
the history) of the generations
of the offspring of Adam. When God created man, He made him in the
likeness of God. He created them male and female and blessed them and
named them [both] Adam [Man] at the time they were created. When Adam had
lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, after his image; and he
named him Seth. After he had Seth, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons
and daughters. So altogether Adam lived 930 years, and he died. When Seth
was 105 years old, Enosh was born. Seth lived after the birth of Enosh 807
years and had other sons and daughters. So Seth lived 912 years, and he
died.”
- Genesis 10:1 says, “This is the history of the generations (descendants)
of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.” The book of Genesis clearly,
repeatedly and deliberately states of itself that it is real actual
history and not allegory, moral myth, “spiritual truth” or
poetry.
- Genesis
10:32 says, “These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to
their generations, within their nations; and from these the nations
spread abroad on the earth after the flood.” This historic fact – that
the whole planet was repopulated after the global Flood of 2,348 BC only
by the descendants of Noah – is also repeated in Acts 17:26.
- Genesis
11:10 says, “This is the history of the generations of Shem. Shem
was 100 years old when he became the father of Arpachshad, two years after
the flood.” It is an irrefutable fact that the book of Genesis claims to
be real factual history, not allegory, myth or poetry.
- Genesis
11:27 says, “Now this is the history of the descendants of Terah.
Terah was the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran was the father
of Lot.” Again, the book of Genesis claims irrefutably to be a book of real
actual history, not allegory, myth or poetry.
11. The Bible’s
genealogies :
- Genesis
5:1-32 gives the
detailed, complete, historic genealogy from Adam down to Noah,
who was the 9th generation after Adam, and to Noah’s three
sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth. The entire book of Genesis claims
irrefutably to be a book of factual history, not allegory, myth,
“spiritual truth” or poetry : “This is the book (the written record, the history) of the generations of the
offspring of Adam. When God created man, He made him in the likeness of
God. He created them male and female and blessed them and named them
[both] Adam [Man] at the time they were created. When Adam had lived 130
years, he had a son in his own likeness, after his image; and he named him
Seth. After he had Seth, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and
daughters. So altogether Adam lived 930 years, and he died. When Seth was
105 years old, Enosh was born. Seth lived after the birth of Enosh 807
years and had other sons and daughters. So Seth lived 912 years, and he
died.” There is no possible way to fit any more years or generations into
this genealogy because of the precise mathematical accounting method that
God uses here.
- Genesis 11:10-32 gives the complete, historic genealogy from
Shem down to Abraham and says, “This is
the history of the generations of Shem. Shem was 100 years old when
he became the father of Arpachshad, two years after the flood. … These are
the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, within
their nations; and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after
the flood.” This historic fact – that the whole planet was repopulated
after the global Flood of 2,348 BC only by the descendants of Noah
– is also repeated in Acts 17:26. It is an irrefutable fact that the book
of Genesis claims to be real factual history, not allegory, myth or
poetry.
- Ruth 4:18-22 gives the genealogy from
Perez down to King David
- 1 Chronicles 1:1 to 3:1 gives the
complete historic lineage from Adam down to Abraham, and from Abraham
down to King David and Solomon and David’s other sons. For example, 1 Chronicles 1:1-4 says : “Adam
[his genealogical line], Seth, Enosh, Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared, Enoch,
Methuselah, Lamech, Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.”
- Matthew 1:1-16 gives the genealogy from
Abraham down to Joseph, the legal father of Jesus. In Matthew 1:8,
Mathew clearly skips three generations from Joram to Uzziah, apparently to
maintain a symmetry in his genealogy. However, this is unusual and no such
gaps have ever been shown to exist in the detailed genealogies of Genesis
5 and 11.
- Luke 3:23-38 gives the complete
historic genealogy of Jesus Christ back to Adam : “Jesus Himself, when He
began [His ministry], was about thirty years of age, being the Son, as was
supposed, of Joseph, the son of Heli … the son of Nathan, the son of
David, the son of Jesse … the son of Perez, the son of Judah, the son of
Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of
Nahor, the son of Serug, the son of Reu, the son of Peleg, the son of
Eber, the son of Shelah, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of
Noah, the son of Lamech, the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son
of Jared, the son of Mahalaleel, the son of Cainan, the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the
son of God.” Luke includes no women in his genealogy, not even Mary
herself. In Luke 3:23, Joseph is called “the son of Heli”, which he was
but only by marriage to Mary who was Heli’s daughter. Heli had no sons of
his own. Joseph is therefore named here as the male representative of
Mary’s generation.
Most (but not
all) Bible translations today incorrectly include an additional “Cainan” in
Luke 3:36 in between Shelah and Arphaxad. This “Cainan” was a later addition to
the text and was rightly not included by Luke. This is shown in more detail in
CSO Topic 3.
This genealogy is
repeated in Genesis 5 and 1 Chronicles 1. Luke’s genealogy moves backward from
Jesus to Adam; Matthew’s genealogy in Matthew 1:1-16 moves forward from Abraham
to Joseph. The genealogy in Matthew 1:1-16 differs from Luke’s genealogy
because in the original Greek text Luke clearly shows that he is giving
Christ’s genealogy through Mary (Jesus’
mother) but Matthew gives Christ’s genealogy through Joseph (Jesus’ legal father). So the royal line of the house of
David is passed to Jesus through his legal father and His physical descent from
David is established by Mary’s lineage. These historic genealogies were critical
as the Jews all knew that the promised Messiah would be a lineal descendant of
King David. According to the original Greek texts of Luke, Jesus was the 75th
generation after Adam (i.e. the 76th generation if you include both
Jesus and Adam, as was the Jewish custom). Clearly, Adam was a real, historic
person and the first man on earth just as Genesis states.
- Jude 14 mentions
Enoch as the 7th generation from Adam as per the other
genealogies so there are no missing generations in Genesis. This scripture
repeats the historic accuracy of the Biblical genealogies of Genesis 5, 1
Chronicles 1 and the original Greek text of Luke 3 and says, “It was of
these people, moreover, that Enoch
in the seventh [generation] from Adam prophesied …” Enoch was the
seventh generation from Adam (including both Adam and Enoch, as the Jews
did). There are no generations
missing from the Genesis, Chronicles or Luke genealogies and the period of
time from the creation until today is 6,000 years. The historicity of this
man Enoch is also referred to in Hebrews 11:5.
12. Adam, Eve, Cain,
Abel and Enoch were all actual individuals in history just as Genesis relates :
- Matthew
19:5-6 says, “And
[Jesus] said, For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and
shall be united firmly (joined inseparably) to his wife, and the two shall
become one flesh ? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What
therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder (separate).”
Jesus is referring here to Genesis 1:27 and Genesis 2:24 where He
personally created Adam and Eve around 4,004 BC.
- In Matthew
23:35 Jesus says, “So that upon your heads may come all the blood
of the righteous (those who correspond to the divine standard of right)
shed on earth, from the blood of the
righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah, whom you
murdered between the sanctuary and the altar [of burnt offering].” Here
Jesus refers to Genesis 4:8 and He reaffirms that Abel – Adam and Eve’s
second son – was a real, historic person just as Genesis tells us. If
Abel’s life and death were real and accurately portrayed in Genesis, then
Abel’s parents, Adam and Eve, were also real historic people. If Adam and
Eve and their sons Cain and Abel never existed, then Jesus’ curse upon the
Jewish religious scribes and Pharisees would have been without reason,
foundation or validity.
·
Mark 10:7-9 says, “For this reason a man shall leave [behind]
his father and his mother and be joined to his wife and cleave closely to her
permanently, and the two shall become one flesh, so that they are no longer
two, but one flesh. What therefore God has united (joined together), let not
man separate or divide.” Jesus is referring here to Genesis 2:24 which tells
how He personally created Adam and Eve in Eden around 4,004 BC.
- Luke
11:49-51 says, “For
this reason also the wisdom of God said, I will send them prophets and
apostles, [some] of whom they will put to death and persecute, so that the
blood of all the prophets shed from the foundation of the world may be
charged against and required of this age and generation, from the blood of
Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was slain between the altar and
the sanctuary.” Jesus refers here to Genesis 4:8 and speaks of Abel (the
second-born son of Adam and Eve) as the real historic man and prophet of
God that he was. If Abel was a real person murdered by his religious
pharisaical brother (Cain) just as Genesis says, then we should have no
difficulty believing that Abel and Cain’s parents, Adam and Eve, were also
real people just as Genesis says. Jesus also again reaffirms that Abel,
Adam and Eve’s son, lived from the foundation of the world, not billions of years after the
foundation of the world.
- 1
Corinthians 6:16-17, referring to Genesis 2:24, says, “Or do you
not know and realize that when a man joins himself to a prostitute, he
becomes one body with her ? The two, as it is written, shall become one
flesh. But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with
Him.”
- 1
Corinthians 11:3, referring to God’s discipline against Adam
and Eve in Genesis 3:16, says, “But I want you to know and realize that
Christ is the Head of every man, the head of a woman is her husband, and
the Head of Christ is God.”
- 1
Corinthians 11:7-11 says, “For a
man ought not to wear anything on his head [in church], for he is the
image and [reflected] glory of God [his function of government reflects
the majesty of the divine Rule]; but woman is [the expression of] man’s
glory (majesty, preeminence). For man was not [created] from woman, but
woman from man; neither was man created on account of and for the benefit
of woman, but woman on account of and for the benefit of man. …
Nevertheless, in [the plan of] the Lord and from His point of view woman
is not apart from and independent of man, nor is man aloof from and
independent of woman; for as woman was made from man, even so man is also
born of woman; and all [whether male or female go forth] from God [as
their Author].” This refers to Genesis 2:18-23 where God created Eve from
Adam 6,000 years ago in the garden in Eden.
- 2
Corinthians 11:3 says, “But
[now] I am fearful, lest that even as
the serpent beguiled Eve by his cunning, so your minds may be
corrupted and seduced from wholehearted and sincere and pure devotion to
Christ.” This refers to Genesis 3:4 and repeats the fact that Eve was a
real historic person who lived 5,000 - 6,000 years ago. She was the first
female human being ever to exist and she and her husband are the ancestor
of every human being who has ever lived.
·
Ephesians 5:31 refers to the creation of Adam and Eve in Genesis
2:24 and says, “For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and
shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”
- 1 Timothy
2:13-14 says, “For Adam
was first formed, then Eve; and it was not Adam who was
deceived, but [the] woman who was deceived and deluded and fell into
transgression.” Eve was deceived into sinning against God’s single command
but Adam deliberately chose to
sin against the command without being deceived. The New Testament affirms
that Adam and Eve were the two real historic first people just as Genesis
says.
- Hebrews 11:4 says, “[Prompted,
actuated] by faith Abel brought God a better and more acceptable
sacrifice than Cain, because of which it was testified of him that
he was righteous …” Abel (the second-born son of Adam and Eve) and Cain
(the first-born son of Adam and Eve) were real people just as Genesis
says. Genesis is accurate history, not
allegory, moral myth or “non-factual but spiritual truth”.
- Hebrews 11:5 says, “Because of faith
Enoch was caught up and
transferred to heaven, so that he did not have a glimpse of death …” This
is a reference to the pre-Flood patriarch Enoch as mentioned in Genesis
5:21-24. Enoch was the sixth generation after Adam (i.e. the seventh
generation from Adam including both Adam and Enoch as was the Jewish
practice) and he was born exactly 622 years after Adam was created. Jesus
Christ created Adam in approximately 4,004 BC and Enoch was therefore born
622 years later in approximately 3,382 BC. Enoch was the father of
Methuselah and was the great-grandfather of Noah. Jude 14 also repeats
this.
- Hebrews
12:24 says, “… to
Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling
that speaks better things than that of Abel.”
The blood of Abel’s sacrifice provided a temporary covering for sin but
the blood of Christ’s sacrifice declares eternal forgiveness for us. Abel
(Adam and Eve’s second son) was a real man in history just as described in
Genesis 4.
- 1 John
3:11-12 says, “For
this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love
one another, not as Cain who was
of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him ?
Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous.” This scripture
refers to Genesis 4:3-5. Cain was the first son born to Adam and Eve, born
to them at some time within 130 years of God creating Adam and Eve 6,000
years ago. (Their third son, Seth, was born exactly 130 years after their
creation according to Genesis 5:3.)
- Jude 11 says, “Woe to them !
For they have run riotously in the way of Cain, and have abandoned themselves for the sake of gain [it
offers them, following] the error of Balaam, and have perished in
rebellion [like that] of Korah !” The wicked acts of these three men of
history – Cain, Balaam and Korah – are detailed in Genesis 4:1-8, Numbers
chapters 22-24 and Numbers 16:1-33. Cain was Adam and Eve’s first son and
this verse again affirms the Genesis account that Cain was a real,
historic person, just as Balaam and Korah were and just as Adam and Eve
themselves were.
- Jude 14 mentions Enoch as being
the 7th generation from Adam just as the Genesis and 1
Chronicles genealogies do so there are no missing generations in Genesis :
“It was of these people, moreover, that Enoch in the seventh [generation] from Adam prophesied …”
Enoch was the seventh generation from Adam (including both Adam and Enoch,
as the Jews did). There are no generations
missing from the Genesis, 1 Chronicles or Luke genealogies and the period
of time from the creation until today is 6,000 years. The historicity of
this man Enoch is also referred to in Hebrews 11:5.
13. All Scripture is
God-breathed so there can be no errors in the original Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek
texts of the Bible :
- 2 Timothy
3:16 says all Scripture is God-breathed,
“Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) …” We cannot
choose to believe the parts of the Bible we like and to reject parts we
dislike by trying to label them “spiritually true”, allegory or myth. Every Scripture is God-breathed and
is therefore absolutely true, including all the statements in Scripture
that our Creator God spoke the universe into existence 6,000 years ago. If you believe what you like in the
Bible and reject what you like, it is not
the Bible you believe but yourself …
14. Add not to His
words, lest He reprove you and you be found a liar :
- Proverbs
30:4-6 says, “Who
has ascended into heaven and descended ? Who has gathered the wind in His
fists ? Who has bound the waters in His garment ? Who has established all
the ends of the earth ? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, if
you know ? Every word of God is tried and purified; He is a shield to
those who trust and take refuge in Him. Add not to His words, lest He reprove you, and you be found a
liar.” Those Christians and others who claim that God supposedly “used
evolution over millions of years” to form the earth and the universe and
to create man, or that the universe is billions of years old, will be
proved to be liars. Add not to His Words, lest He reprove you and you be
found to be a liar.
15. There will be
false teachers, mockers and scoffers inside the church so beware of
evolution-contaminated teachings in church :
- 2 Peter
2:1-5 says, “But
also [in those days] there arose false prophets among the people, just as
there will be false teachers among yourselves, who will subtly and
stealthily introduce heretical doctrines (destructive heresies), even
denying and disowning the Master Who bought them, bringing upon themselves
swift destruction. And many will follow their immoral ways and lascivious
doings; because of them the true Way will be maligned and defamed. ... And
in their covetousness (lust, greed) they will exploit you with false
(cunning) arguments. From of old the sentence [of condemnation] for them
has not been idle … And He spared not the ancient world, but preserved
Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven other persons, when He brought a flood upon the world
of ungodly [people].”
- In 2
Peter 3:3-7, Peter refers to the global Flood and to the
pre-shaped Earth when it was twice engulfed in water, “To begin with, you
must know and understand this, that scoffers (mockers) will come in the
last days with scoffing … For they willfully overlook and forget this
[fact], that the heavens [came into] existence long ago by the word of
God, and the earth also which was formed out of water and by means of
water, through which the world that
then [existed] was deluged with water and perished. But by the same word
the present heavens and earth have been stored up (reserved) for fire …”
16. The Lord made the
heavens, the earth and people at the beginning :
- Psalm
102:25-27 says, “At the beginning You existed and
laid the foundations of the earth; the heavens are the work of Your hands. They shall perish but
You shall remain and endure; yes, all of them shall wear out and become
old like a garment. Like clothing You shall change them, and they shall be
changed and pass away. But You remain the same and Your years shall have
no end.” Psalm 102 says that God laid the foundations of the earth at the beginning of time, not 17 billion years after a
hypothetical cosmic big bang explosion. The earth is therefore the oldest
object in the universe ... The earth is approximately 6,000 years old but
it is only three days older than the sun and all the stars in the
universe.
·
Matthew 13:35 says, “I will utter things which have been kept
hidden from the foundation of the world.” There was a point in time when
the world was founded.
- In Matthew
19:4 Jesus said, “Have you never read that He Who made them from the beginning made them male and female ?”
Jesus is speaking of humans being the direct result of God’s creative act
and He clearly stated that God created these two people at the beginning of time – not 17 billion years after the
beginning of time. According to the Bible, time began 6,000 years ago.
·
Luke 1:70-71 clearly states that unrighteous people and God’s
holy prophets have all been living on the earth since the beginning of
the earth’s existence, not four billion years after the earth’s
beginning, “As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, who have been
since the world began, that we should be saved from our enemies …”
- Hebrews
1:10-12 says, “And
[further], You, Lord, did lay
the foundation of the earth in the
beginning, and the heavens are the works of Your hands. They will perish, but You remain and continue
permanently; they will all grow old and wear out like a garment. Like a
mantle [thrown about one’s self] You will roll them up, and they will be
changed and replaced by others. But You remain the same, and Your years
will never end nor come to failure.”
- Hebrews 4:3 says, “… [His] works
had been completed and prepared [and waiting for all who would believe] from the foundation of the world.”
Adam’s decision to sin around 3,900 BC did not take God by surprise. God
had planned His own sacrificial death on the Roman cross and His own
resurrection from that death for around 30 AD even before He created the
universe …
- 1 John 3:8 says, “He who sins is
of the devil, for the devil has sinned from
the beginning.”
17. God created man
and put him on the Earth :
- Genesis 9:6 says, “Whoever sheds
man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He
made man.”
- In Deuteronomy
4:32, Moses says, “For ask now concerning the days that are past,
which were before you, since the day
that God created man on the earth.” There was a day when God created
man on the earth.
- Job 20:4 says, “Do you not know
from of old, since the time that man
was placed on the earth, that the triumphing of the wicked is short
...” There was a time that man was placed
on the earth. Man did not somehow
evolve upward from an ape.
- Isaiah 64:4 says, “For since the beginning of the world men have not
perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who
acts for the one who waits for Him.” The Bible is clear that men have been
living on the earth since the beginning of the world, not 4 billion
years after the beginning of the world …
- In Matthew
19:4 Jesus said, “Have you never read that He Who made them from the beginning made them male and female ?”
Jesus is speaking of humans being the direct result of God’s creative act
and He clearly stated that God created these two people at the beginning of time – not 17 billion years after the
beginning of time. According to the Bible, time began 6,000 years ago.
- Matthew
24:21 says, “For
then there will be great tribulation (affliction, distress, and
oppression) such as has not been from
the beginning of the world until now – no, and never will be [again].”
Here, Jesus reaffirms that the world had a beginning. So the earth is not
infinitely old as many pantheists believe.
- In Mark
10:6, Jesus said, “But from
the beginning of creation God made them male and female.” Jesus is
referring here to Genesis 1:27 and He is speaking of a literal, historic first man (Adam)
and a literal, historic first
woman (Eve). Adam and Eve did not appear
as evolved apes four billion years after the earth somehow created itself,
but from the beginning of God’s creation of the world around 6,000 years
ago.
18. All human beings
are of one blood :
- Acts 17:26 says, “And He made from
one [common origin, one source, one blood] all nations of men to settle on
the face of the earth, having definitely determined [their] allotted
periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation.” God is the
Creator of all the nations of
men. People did not “evolve”. All men and women are of one human
race.
19. Adam’s sin caused
death to come into the world so there was no death before Adam :
·
Romans 5:12-14 says, “Therefore, as sin came into the world through
one man, and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, [no one
being able to stop it or to escape its power] because all men sinned. [To be
sure] sin was in the world before ever the Law was given, but sin is not
charged to men’s account where there is no law [to transgress]. Yet death held
sway from Adam to Moses [the Lawgiver], even over those who did not themselves
transgress [a positive command] as Adam did. Adam was a type (prefigure) of the
One Who was to come [in reverse, the former destructive, the Latter saving].”
Adam was a literal historic man who was the first man to exist and the first
man to sin. Death entered the entire natural world because of Adam’s deliberate
choice to disobey God’s single, simple command. (God’s only command to Adam and
Eve was not to eat the fruit of one lone tree on the entire planet. Everything
else was allowed. The test could not have been easier for Adam yet he
deliberately chose to sin.) Sin preceded death. Therefore there could not have
been “millions of years” of death in the world before Adam sinned. The
evolutionist – including the theistic evolutionist – says that death existed
for millions of years on earth before man somehow evolved. But the Bible
clearly and emphatically states that death did not exist on earth before Adam sinned.
Adam sinned
sometime after his date of creation of approximately 4,004 BC but before the birth
of his first-born son Cain (which was at the latest 3,874 BC). Adam’s age at
Cain’s birth is not given in the Bible but Genesis 5:4 says that Adam’s third
son Seth was born 130 years after the creation, which is 3,874 BC, at which
time Cain was a grown man (who had already murdered his younger brother Abel).
Cain’s birth was therefore at least two decades before 3,874 BC. So Adam’s fall
must have occurred at most about 100 years after the creation and, most
likely, within only a few years after he was created. (Adam and Eve fell before
Eve had given birth to her first son. In the perfect paradise of Eden, one
would expect Eve to have conceived within a few years after their creation.) Before Adam’s fall around 6,000 years ago,
there was no death anywhere at all in the entire universe.
- Romans 5:17 says, “Because of one
man’s trespass [i.e. Adam’s sin], death reigned through that one ...”
- Romans
5:18-19 says of
Adam’s choice to sin as described in Genesis and God’s choice to sacrifice
Himself on the cross, “Well then, as one man’s trespass [one man’s false
step and falling away led] to condemnation for all men, so one Man’s act
of righteousness [leads] to acquittal and right standing with God and life
for all men. For just as by one man’s disobedience (failing to hear,
heedlessness, and carelessness) the many were constituted sinners, so by
one Man’s obedience the many will be constituted righteous (made
acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him).” A real, historic and actual Genesis is
the only reason and sole foundation for the gospel and
for Christian evangelism. If the
entire Genesis account from Genesis 1:1 did not actually happen in
history, then the cross of Christ is irrelevant and a waste of time as no
human being would be a sinner …
- Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages
which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal
life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord.” Sin preceded death so
before Adam sinned in the garden in Eden around 5,900 years ago death did
not exist anywhere in the natural world.
- Romans
8:19-23 says, “For
[even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs
earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the
disclosing of their sonship]. For the creation (nature) was subjected to
frailty (to futility, condemned to frustration), not because of some
intentional fault on its part, but by the will of Him Who so subjected it
– [yet] with the hope that nature (creation) itself will be set free from
its bondage to decay and corruption [and gain an entrance] into the
glorious freedom of God’s children. We know that the whole creation [of
irrational creatures] has been moaning together in the pains of labor
until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves too …” Death in the
entire world of nature resulted only
because of the deliberate choice to sin by the first man, Adam,
against God’s single and simple command. Before Adam’s rebellion, which
was at some date within the period 4,004 BC to 3,874 BC, there was no
death in all of creation. The original created world before Adam’s
rebellion really was “very good” (as God describes it in Genesis) as there
was no death …
·
1 Corinthians
15:21 says, “For since
[it was] through a man that death [came into the world, it is] also through a
Man [i.e. Jesus Christ] that the resurrection of the dead [has come].”
20. The reason there
is sin, evil and suffering in the world :
- Ecclesiastes
7:29 says,
“Behold, this is the only [reason for it that] I have found : God made man upright, but they [men
and women] have sought out many devices [for evil].”
21. Our Creator is
our Redeemer :
- Isaiah 54:5 says, “For your Maker is your Husband – the
Lord of hosts is His name – and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; the God of the
whole earth He is called.” This is the eternal gospel – that our Creator
has become our Redeemer.
22. The eternal
Gospel is that we are to worship our Creator :
- In Revelation
14:6-7, an angel preaches the eternal Gospel to all the
inhabitants of the earth of every language, tribe and nation, “Then I saw
another angel flying in midair, with an eternal Gospel (good news)
to tell to the inhabitants of the earth, to every race and tribe and
language and people. And he cried with a mighty voice, Revere God and give
Him glory (honor and praise in worship), for the hour of His judgment has
arrived. Fall down before Him; pay Him homage and adoration and worship Him who created heaven and
earth, the sea and the springs (fountains) of water.” This is the
eternal Gospel : to revere God and worship Him as Creator. It is constantly told throughout Scripture that our Redeemer is the Creator of
everything. The Christian Gospel is
that our Creator has become our Redeemer. If evolution is our creator,
then evolution alone is our saviour and redeemer. But if Jesus Christ, God
Himself, is our Creator, then Jesus Christ is our only Saviour and
Redeemer.
23. The evidence of
creation is enough to convict every unbeliever to eternal death so all
unbelievers are guilty before God :
- Psalm 19:1-4 says He (and not a hypothetical “big bang” cosmic explosion) made the
universe by His hands, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the
firmament shows and proclaims His handiwork. Day after day pours forth
speech, and night after night shows forth knowledge. There is no speech
nor spoken word [from the stars]; their voice is not heard. Yet their
voice [in evidence] goes out through all the earth, their sayings to the
end of the world. Of the heavens has God made a tent for the sun …”
- Romans 1:19-20 says that everyone on earth can clearly see
that there is a Creator God, but that people replace the Creator God with
created objects, “For that which is known about God is evident to them and
made plain in their inner consciences, because God [Himself] has shown it
to them. For ever since the creation
of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal
power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in
and through the things that have been made (His handiworks). So [men] are
without excuse [altogether without any defense or justification] …”
- Romans 10:18, referring
to Psalm 19:1-4 and God’s message of creation that is visible in the
stars, says, “But I ask, Have they not heard ? Indeed they have; [for the
Scripture says] Their voice [that of nature bearing God’s message] has
gone out to all the earth, and their words to the far bounds of the
world.”
24. The Bible says
clearly that the atheist and the agnostic are “fools” :
·
Psalm 14:1 says, “The fool
says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ ”
- Psalm 53:1 says, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is
no God.’ ” He who says that there is no Creator is a fool.
25.
The
church of Christian believers is ultimately to blame for not teaching people
the truth, including the important truth about Biblical creation :
- Hosea 4:4-7 says, “Yet let no man
strive, neither let any man reprove [another – do not waste your time in
mutual recrimination], for with you
is My contention, o priest. … My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge;
because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge. I will also
reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also
forget your children. The more they increased and multiplied [in prosperity
and power], the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory
into shame.” This verse particularly describes the stance of most
evangelical Christian churches today against Biblical origins : church
leaders have rejected true knowledge, teaching instead their false,
theistic evolutionary doctrine of a 17 billion year old exploded universe
in which God supposedly “used evolution” to make everything come into
existence. Most leaders of evangelical Christian churches today reject the Bible’s clear and exact
account of how and when Jesus Christ created the
universe. As a result, many churches today are either empty or have false
answers and many of their people fall away from Christianity and are
destroyed. And in the eyes of the pagans, our glory is turned to shame for
we have forgotten the law and Word of our God …
26. Why we should
study creation :
- Psalm
111:2-4 says, “The
works of the Lord are great, sought out by all those who have delight in
them. His work is honorable and glorious, and His righteousness
endures forever. He has made His wonderful works to be remembered;
the Lord is gracious, merciful, and full of loving compassion.” God wants us to examine His created
universe.
27. “A wise man
scales the city walls of the mighty and brings down the stronghold in which
they trust” (A Biblical reason to bring down the mental stronghold of evolution
theory) :
- Proverbs
21:22 says, “A
wise man scales the city walls of the mighty and brings down the
stronghold in which they trust.” The stronghold of every atheist and pagan
is that they mistakenly think evolution really happened and that therefore
there is no Creator God as described in the Bible, so they quite logically ignore the Bible and the life and
claims of Jesus Christ. But a wise
man or woman will bring down the intellectual stronghold of evolution
in the minds of people by attacking it, debating it and showing it to be
the unscientific, impossible, unreal, false philosophy that it is.
Further, as the Bible says that God is truth and that everything false
comes from Satan, if we say we love God we must love what is true and hate
what is false. Every Christian should fight for the truth.
28. Why is the whole
earth the Lord’s ? Because He made it :
- Exodus 9:29 says, “Moses said to
him, As soon as I leave the city, I will stretch out my hands to the Lord;
the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail, that you
may know that the earth is the
Lord’s.” The only reason
that the earth can belong to the Lord is if He made it. If the earth made itself after some hypothetical
cosmic “big bang” explosion 17 billion years ago, then the earth is not
the Lord’s …
- Psalm 24:1-2 says, “The earth is the
Lord’s, and the fullness of it, the world and they who dwell in it. For He has founded it upon the seas
…”
- Psalm
50:9-12 says, “I
will accept no bull from your house nor he-goat out of your folds. For
every beast of the forest is Mine,
and the cattle upon a thousand hills … I know and am acquainted with all
the birds of the mountains, and the wild animals of the field are Mine and are with Me, in My mind.
If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are Mine.” The only reason the
planet belongs to God is that He personally made it, by speaking it all
into being. He made it, so He owns it. He made us, so He owns us. The
planet is not self-created.
- Psalm
89:11-12 says, “The
heavens are Yours, the earth
also is Yours; the world and all
that is in it, You have founded
them. The north and the south, You
have created them …”
- Psalm 95:5 says, “The sea is His,
for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land.”
Long aeons of hypothetical time did not
form the land and seas, God formed them Himself.
- Psalm
96:3-5, 8 says,
“Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the
peoples. For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be
reverently feared and worshiped above all [so-called] gods. For all the
gods of the nations are [lifeless] idols, but the Lord made the heavens. … Give to the Lord the glory
due His name …” God made the heavens or universe, not some hypothetical
cosmic big bang explosion. And God commands us here to give Him the glory due His name – not to give the credit and glory of
creation to some pagan philosophy called a “big bang” and “billions of
years of evolutionary time”.
- 1
Corinthians 10:26 says, “For
the [whole] earth is the Lord’s and everything that is in it.” The only reason that the earth can
belong to the Lord is if He made it.
If the earth made itself after some hypothetical cosmic “big bang”
explosion 17 billion years ago, then the earth is not the Lord’s …
29. The earth’s
subterranean Flood waters and the “fountains of the great deep” :
- Genesis 7:11-12 says, “In the year 600
of Noah’s life, in the seventeenth day of the second month, that same
day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up and burst forth,
and the windows and floodgates of the heavens were opened. And it rained
upon the earth forty days and forty nights.”
·
Job 38:8-9 says, “Or who shut in the
sea with doors, when it burst forth and issued from the womb; when I
made the clouds its garment, and thick darkness its swaddling bands …?”
·
Psalm 18:15 says, “Then the beds of
the sea appeared and the foundations of the world were laid bare at Your
rebuke …”
·
Psalm 24:1-2 says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its
fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For he has founded it upon
the seas, and established it upon the waters.”
- Psalm 33:7 says, “He gathers the
waters of the sea into jars [or as into a heap]; he puts the deep into
storehouses.” A storehouse is a closed container that preserves
something you may use later. This Scripture implies vast quantities of
subterranean waters held in interconnected rock chambers well below the
earth’s surface.
- Psalm
136:4-9 says, “… to Him who alone does great wonders
…, who by His understanding
made the heavens …, who spread out the earth upon the waters …, who
made the great lights …, the sun to govern the day … the moon and stars to
govern the night ...”
- Proverbs
3:19-20 says, “The Lord by skillful and godly
Wisdom has founded the earth; by understanding
He has established the heavens. By His knowledge the deeps were broken up, and the
skies distill the dew.”
- Proverbs
8:22-29 says, “The
Lord formed and brought me [Wisdom] forth at the beginning of His way,
before His acts of old. I [Wisdom] was inaugurated and ordained from
everlasting, from the beginning, before ever the earth existed. When
there were no deeps, I was brought forth, when there were no
fountains laden with water. Before the mountains were settled, before
the hills, I was brought forth, while as yet He had not made the land or
the fields or the first of the dust of the earth. When He prepared the
heavens, I [Wisdom] was there; when He drew a circle upon the face of the
deep and stretched out the firmament over it, when He made firm the skies
above, when He established the fountains of the deep, when He gave
to the sea its limit and His decree that the waters should not transgress
[across the boundaries set by] His command, when He appointed the
foundations of the earth …”
- Amos 5:8 says, “Seek Him Who made the [cluster of
stars called] Pleiades and [the constellation] Orion, Who turns the shadow
of death or deep darkness into morning and darkens the day into night, Who
calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the face of the
earth – the Lord is
His name …”
- Amos 9:5-6 says, “The Lord God of hosts, it is He Who touches the earth and it
melts, and all who dwell in it mourn; it shall rise like the [river] Nile,
all of it, and it shall sink again like the Nile of Egypt. It is He Who
builds His upper chambers in the heavens and Who founds His vault over the
earth, Who calls to the waters of the sea and pours them out on the
face of the earth – The Lord is His name.” This literally happened
during the global Flood of Genesis in Noah’s life in 2,348 BC when God
completely covered and drowned this entire planet for a full year with the
earth’s subterranean waters and oceanic waters.
30. Other Old
Testament and New Testament references to the global Flood of Noah :
- Job 22:13-18 (Job is considered by many theologians to be the oldest book in the
Bible) says, “Therefore you say, How and what does God know [about me]
? … Thick clouds are a covering to
Him, so that He does not see, and He walks on the vault of the heavens. Will you pay attention and keep to
the old way that wicked men trod [in Noah’s time], men who were snatched
away before their time, whose foundations were poured out like a stream
[during the flood] ? They said to God, Depart from us, and, What can the
Almighty do for or to us ? Yet He filled their houses with good [things].”
This affirms the reality of the global Flood during the time of Noah in
2,348 BC.
- Psalm 29:10 reminds us of the
reality of the global Flood during the life of Noah in 2,348 BC, “The Lord
sat as King over the deluge; the Lord [still] sits as King [and] forever
!”
- In Isaiah
54:9, God says, “For this is like the days of Noah to Me; as I
swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I
sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you.” God repeats here
the fact that the Flood of Noah of 2,348 BC as described in Genesis 7 to 8
was global and covered the
entire earth, not merely some portion of the Middle East.
- Ezekiel
14:13-20 says, “Son of man, when a land sins against Me by persistent
unfaithfulness, I will stretch out My hand against it; I will cut off its
supply of bread, send famine on it, and cut off man and beast from it.
Even if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, they
would deliver only themselves by their righteousness, says the Lord God. …
Or if I send a pestilence into that land and pour out My fury on it in
blood, and cut off from it man and beast, even though Noah, Daniel,
and Job were in it, as I live, says the Lord God, they would deliver
neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only themselves by their
righteousness.” The Bible is clear that Noah was a real historic person
just as described in the early chapters of Genesis.
- In Matthew
24:37-39, Jesus said, “As were the days of Noah, so will be the
coming of the Son of Man. For just as in those days before the flood they
were eating and drinking, [men] marrying and [women] being given in
marriage, until the [very] day when Noah went into the ark, and they did
not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away – so
will be the coming of the Son of Man.” Jesus refers here to the historic
reality of the global Flood of 2,348 BC and likens this historic globally
destructive event to His future return to the earth.
- In Luke
17:26-27, Jesus said, “And [just] as it was in the days of Noah,
so will it be in the time of the Son of Man. [People] ate, they drank,
they married, they were given in marriage, right up to the day when Noah
went into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.” This is a direct reference by
Christ to the global Flood of Noah that killed all the people of the earth outside the Ark.
- Hebrews 11:7 says, “[Prompted] by
faith Noah, being forewarned by God concerning events of which as yet
there was no visible sign, took heed and diligently and reverently
constructed and prepared an ark for the deliverance of his own family. By
this [his faith which relied on God] he passed judgment and sentence on
the world’s unbelief and became an heir and possessor of righteousness …”
This is a reference to the pre-Flood patriarch Noah as mentioned in
Genesis 5:29 and Genesis 6:8-22. Noah was the ninth generation after Adam
(i.e. the tenth generation of men and women on earth). Adam was created
around 4,004 BC and Noah was born exactly 1,056 years after the creation
of Adam. So Noah was born in 2,948 BC. The start of the year-long global
Flood occurred when Noah was exactly 600 years old, which was therefore in
2,348 BC.
- 1 Peter 3:20 says, “… [the souls of
those] who long before in the days of Noah had been disobedient, when
God’s patience waited during the building of the ark in which a few
[people], actually eight in number, were saved through water.” This refers
to the year-long global Flood of Genesis 6 that killed all people on earth
except the eight survivors in Noah’s ark.
But by the same
word the present heavens and earth have been stored up (reserved) for fire
…”
31. Dinosaurs in the
Bible : the two Hebrew words “behemoth” and “leviathan” :
- Job 40:15 to
41:34 strongly
implies that people have lived with, have seen and have written about land
dinosaurs and giant sea
creatures that were alive with them during
their lifetimes. God is speaking to Job about the two dinosaurs behemoth and leviathan that were alive during Job’s lifetime of around
2,000 to 1,900 BC, around 400 years after the global Flood of 2,348 BC. Behemoth
is probably the dinosaur apatosaurus, popularly (but
incorrectly) known as brontosaurus.
32. The Sabbath rest
and the six literal historic creation days :
- Genesis 1:31
to Genesis 2:3 says, “And
God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good
(suitable, pleasant) and He approved it completely. And there was evening
and there was morning, a sixth day. Thus the heavens and the earth were
finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended
His work which He had done; and He rested on the seventh day from all His
work which He had done.”
- Exodus
20:9-11 says, “Six
days shall you labor and do all your work … For in six days the Lord made
the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested
the seventh day. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed
it [set it apart for His purposes].”
- Exodus 31:17 says, “… for in six
days the Lord made the heavens and earth, and on the seventh day He ceased
and was refreshed.”
- Mark 2:27-28 says, “And Jesus said
to them, The Sabbath was made on account and for the sake of man, not man
for the Sabbath; so the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.” God
created the seventh day rest for our benefit. He could have created the
entire universe in one second instead of stretching the creation of the
universe over a period of six actual days. Our required seventh day of
rest is the only reason Jesus
Christ spent six actual days creating the universe 6,000 years ago – so
that we too would work for only six actual days and then rest on the
seventh actual day.
- Hebrews 4:4 says, “For in a certain
place He has said this about the seventh day : And God rested on the
seventh day from all His works.”
- Hebrews
4:9-10 says, “So
then, there is still awaiting a full and complete Sabbath-rest reserved
for the [true] people of God; for he who has once entered [God’s] rest
also has ceased from [the weariness and pain] of human labors, just as God
rested from those labors peculiarly His own.” This refers directly to
God’s creation of the universe in six literal days, described in Genesis
2:2.
33. A thousand years
are as a watch in the night versus a thousand years are as one day :
- Psalm 90:4 says, “For a thousand
years in Your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in
the night.” A watch in the night was a period of only several hours
(either three hours or four hours, depending on whether you were a Roman
or a Jew). This scripture is a reminder to those who like to quote 2 Peter 3:8 that says,
“Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape you, beloved, that with the
Lord one day is as a thousand
years and a thousand years as one
day.” In context, 2 Peter 3:8 is talking about God’s judgment in the future, not about God’s creation in the past
over the six days of creation week. Nor does it say that with the Lord a
day is a thousand years, but that a day is “as” or “like” a thousand
years. Periods of time do not change their meaning. The creation week
consisted of seven, literal, earth-rotation days of 24 hours each. These
two scriptures simply tell us that God, who created time at the start of
creation around 6,000 years ago, is not bound by time. However, the seven
days of the creation week were neither a thousand or more years long nor
were they the Jewish four hour length of the watch in the night. They were
exactly what God said they were : seven literal days of around 24 hours
each.
34. God’s future
destruction of the Earth, animals and people by fire (like the past global
Flood):
- Isaiah 34:4 says, “All the host of
heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled up like a
scroll; all their host shall fall down as the leaf falls from the vine,
and as fruit falling from a fig tree.” This describes God’s future instantaneous
destruction of the entire universe.
- Isaiah
65:17-18 says, “For
behold, I create new heavens and a new earth. And the former things
shall not be remembered or come into mind. But be glad and rejoice forever
in that which I create…” This means a
new universe. The Hebrew language has no single word to express the
concept of cosmos or universe, so the phrase “heavens and earth” is used
to convey this concept. Will it take God “17 billion years” to create the new heavens and the new earth ?! If God can create a
new heavens and a new earth (i.e. a new universe) in the
future in a split second out of nothing, just by speaking them into being, why do most Christians today have a
problem believing that God created the present
heavens and earth (i.e. the present universe) by speaking them into
being out of nothing in the space of six literal days ??
Or if I send a pestilence into that land and pour out My fury on it in
blood, and cut off from it man and beast, even though Noah, Daniel,
and Job were in it, as I live, says the Lord God, they would deliver
neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only themselves by their
righteousness.”
- Zephaniah
1:2-3 says, “By taking away I will make an end and I will utterly consume
and sweep away all things from the face of the earth, says the Lord. I
will consume and sweep away man and beast; I will consume and sweep away
the birds of the air and the fish of the sea. I will overthrow the
stumbling blocks (the idols) with the wicked [worshipers], and I will cut
off mankind from the face of the earth, says the Lord.” This is a prophecy
of the future Day of the Lord. It describes future judgement for the whole
planet and is reminiscent of the historic global Flood of Noah described
in Genesis chapters 6 and 7. As in Genesis 6:7 and Genesis 7:23, God’s
comparison here of the future global destruction with the past global
destruction of Genesis includes the phrases “man and beast” and “birds of
the heavens”. Zephaniah also alludes here to the creation week of 6,000
years ago, pairing man with beast (all created on the 6th day
of creation) and birds with fish (all created on the 5th day of
creation).
- Haggai 2:6 says, “For thus says the Lord of hosts : Once more (it is a
little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land …”
- In Matthew
24:37-39, Jesus said, “As were the days of Noah, so will be the
coming of the Son of Man. For just as in those days before the flood they
were eating and drinking, [men] marrying and [women] being given in marriage,
until the [very] day when Noah went into the ark, and they did not know or
understand until the flood came and swept them all away – so will be the
coming of the Son of Man.” Jesus refers here to the historic reality of
the global Flood of 2,348 BC and likens this historic globally destructive
event to His future return to the earth.
- Mark 13:19 says, “For at that time
there will be such affliction as has not been from the beginning of the
creation which God created …”
- Hebrews
1:10-12 says, “And
[further], You, Lord, did
lay the foundation of the earth in
the beginning, and the heavens are the works of Your hands. They will perish,
but You remain and continue permanently; they will all grow old and wear
out like a garment. Like a mantle [thrown about one’s self] You will
roll them up, and they will be changed and replaced by others. But You
remain the same, and Your years will never end nor come to failure.”
- Hebrews
12:26-27 says, “Then [at Mount Sinai] His voice shook the earth, but now He
has given a promise : Yet once more I will shake and make tremble not
only the earth but also the [starry] heavens. Now this expression, Yet
once more, indicates the final removal and transformation of all [that can
be] shaken – that is, of that which has been created – in order that what
cannot be shaken may remain and continue.” This refers to Haggai 2:6 and
describes God’s future destruction of the earth.
- In 2
Peter 3:3-7, Peter refers to the past global Flood and the future
global destruction by fire, “To begin with, you must know and understand
this, that scoffers (mockers) will come in the last days with scoffing …
For they willfully overlook and forget this [fact], that the heavens [came
into] existence long ago by the word of God, and the earth also which was
formed out of water and by means of water, through which the world that then [existed] was deluged with water
and perished. But by the same word the present heavens and earth have
been stored up (reserved) for fire …”
- Revelation 6:13-14 says, “And the stars
of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is
shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is
rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.”
35. The future new
universe :
36. People’s future
very long lives :
- Isaiah
65:19-20 says, “I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in My people; the voice
of weeping shall no longer be heard in her, nor the voice of crying. No
more shall an infant from there live but a few days, nor an old man who
has not fulfilled his days; for the child shall die one hundred years
old, but the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed.” In
the future millennial kingdom of Christ on the earth, people will again
live for many hundreds of years each, just as occurred in the beginning
6,000 years ago as recorded in Genesis 5. In fact, those who die at the
age of 100 will be considered to have died while in their childhood …
37. In the future
there will be no carnivory and the lion will eat straw like the ox :
- Isaiah
11:6-9 says of the
new heaven and the new earth of the future, “And the wolf shall dwell with
the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf and
the young lion and the fatted domestic animal together; and a little child
shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed side by side, their
young shall lie down together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
And the sucking child shall play over the hole of the asp, and the weaned
child shall put his hand on the adder’s den. They shall not hurt or
destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the
knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” This future state of
no death in the animal and human world is just how the creation started
back in Genesis before the fall of the first two people. It was human
disobedience to God’s single instruction that caused sin and death to
enter the entire natural realm. But in the end, death will be destroyed
and animals one day again will no longer be dangerous or carnivorous. This
promise is repeated in Isaiah 65:25.
- Isaiah 65:25 says, “The wolf and the
lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and
dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all My
holy Mount [Zion], says the Lord.” Just like Isaiah 11:6-9, this
promise speaks of the future state
of the world where there will be no more carnivorous feeding and no death
– just as the created world was at its beginning around 6,000 years ago as
recounted in the early chapters of Genesis.
38. He created the
stars also :
- Genesis 1:16 says God Himself, and not some hypothetical “big bang”
cosmic explosion, made all the stars in the universe : “He made the stars also.”
·
Psalm 147:4-5 says, “He determines and counts the number of
the stars; He calls them all by their names. Great is our Lord and of great
power; His understanding is inexhaustible and boundless.”
39. The sun’s going
forth is from one end of the heavens … :
- Psalm 19:6 says of the sun, “Its
going forth is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the ends of
it …” Astronomers have discovered that the sun and the solar system trace
an immense circuit across the galaxy. The sun’s going forth and its
circuit are literally from one end of the heavens to the other ...
40. The Hebrew word “khug”
and the Biblical teaching of a spherical earth :
- Job 22:14 (Job is considered by many theologians to be the oldest book in the
Bible) says, “Thick clouds are a covering to Him, so that He does not
see, and He walks on the vault of
the heavens.” Interestingly, the word translated “vault” is the Hebrew
word “khug” and means a sphere.
The ancient nations knew that the earth is spherical and not flat
or circular.
·
In Job 38:12-14, God says to Job, “Have you commanded the
morning star since your days began, and caused the dawn to know its place, that
it might take hold of the ends of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it
? It takes on form like clay under a seal, and stands out like a
garment.” The phrase translated “takes on form” is the Hebrew word that
literally means “turned” or rotated. This scripture is saying that the earth is
turned or rotated like a cylindrical seal rolled over soft clay. This
scripture, in what many consider to be the oldest book of the Bible, clearly
speaks of the earth rotating on its axis and moving relative to the sun.
This astounding
yet little-known part of scripture graphically describes the rotation of the
earth about its own axis and the earth’s movement across the sun’s light. It
states that the sun’s light at dawn, as seen from the earth, is changed into
its many colours in the same manner as
a clay document is imprinted with the markings of an engraved cylindrical seal.
The seal was a cylinder (shaped like a modern rolling-pin) worn around a
person’s neck and had a hole through its centre and a cord threaded through it.
It was the ancient equivalent to a signature or personal signet ring – it was
the credit card of the ancient world. You would use your seal like a
rolling-pin to imprint your personal signature on legal documents made of clay.
The cylindrical seal rotated on its axis, moving across the clay and relative
to the clay. The clay document did not move across the cylinder. The
Bible is showing us that the earth is God’s personal cylindrical seal and that the earth (the cylindrical seal) rotates on its axis and moves across the
sunlight (the clay) and relative to
the sun, putting its impression on the sun’s light to create the dawn
colours. Contrary to popular false belief, the ancient nations did know
that the earth is spherical and rotates on its axis.
- Isaiah
40:21-22 says, “[You
worshipers of idols, you are without excuse.] Do you not know ? Have you
not heard ? Has it not been told you from the beginning ? [These things
ought to convince you of God’s omnipotence and of the folly of bowing to
idols.] Have you not understood from the foundation of the earth ? It is
God Who sits above the circle (the
horizon) of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; It is He Who stretches out the heavens like [gauze] curtains
and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.” The word translated
“circle” is the Hebrew word “khug” and literally means “sphere” or
“sphericity”. This scripture shows that the Jews knew the world was a
spherical globe and was not flat. The idea of a flat earth does not come from the Bible.
- Proverbs
8:27-28 says, “When
He prepared the heavens, I [Wisdom] was there; when He drew a circle
upon the face of the deep and stretched out the firmament over it,
when He made firm the skies above, when He established the fountains of
the deep …” This again is the Hebrew word “khug” literally meaning
“sphere”.
- In Luke 17:31-36 Jesus says, “In
that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in his house, let
him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the
field, let him not turn back. Remember Lot’s wife … I tell you, in that
night there will be two people in one bed : the one will be taken [in
judgement] and the other will be left. Two women will be grinding together
: the one will be taken [in judgement] and the other left. Two men will be
in the field : the one will be taken [in judgement] and the other left.”
As in Matthew 24:27-44, Jesus is describing the hour of his future Second
Coming to the earth in instantaneous judgement on unbelievers. It is clear
from the text that in that instant of Christ’s return to Earth, in
different locations around the world some people will be at work in the
day and some will be asleep at night – all at the same moment. This
prophecy of Christ’s can be true only if the earth is spherical. In
other words, only a spherical earth allows night and day at the same
moment on different parts of the globe. So Jesus Christ clearly knew and
taught that the earth is spherical and is not flat.
41. God stretched out
the heavens (which would cause a redshift of starlight ) :
- In Job
9:8, Job speaks of God, saying, “Who alone stretches out the heavens …”
- Job 26:7 says, “He it is Who spreads out the
northern skies over emptiness and hangs
the earth upon or over nothing.”
- Psalm 104:2 says, “[You are the
One] Who covers Yourself with
light as with a garment, Who
stretches out the heavens like a
curtain or tent.”
- Isaiah 40:22 says, “It is God Who
sits above the circle (the
horizon) of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; It is
He Who stretches out the heavens like [gauze] curtains and
spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.”
- Isaiah 42:5 says, “Thus
says God the Lord – He who created the heavens and stretched them forth,
He who spread abroad the earth and that which comes out of it, He who
gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it …”
- Isaiah 44:24 says, “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, and He who formed you from
the womb : I am the Lord, who makes all things, who stretches out the
heavens all alone, who spreads abroad the earth by Myself …”
·
Isaiah 45:12 says, “I have
made the earth, and created man on it. I
– My hands – stretched out the heavens,
and all their host I have
commanded.”
- Isaiah
48:12-13 says, “Listen to Me, O Jacob, and Israel, My called : I am He, I am
the First, I am also the Last. Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of
the earth, and My right hand has stretched out the heavens; when I
call to them, they stand up together.”
- Isaiah 51:13 says, “And you forget
the Lord your Maker, Who
stretched forth the heavens and laid the foundations of the
earth …”
- Jeremiah
10:11-12 says, “Thus
shall you say to them : The gods,
who did not make the heavens and the earth, shall perish from the earth
and from under the heavens. God made the earth by His power; He
established the world by His wisdom and by His understanding and skill stretched out the heavens.”
- Jeremiah
51:15 says, “He made the earth by His power; He established the world by His
wisdom and stretched out the heavens by His understanding.”
- Zechariah
12:1 says, “Thus says the Lord, Who stretches out the heavens and
lays the foundation of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him …”
42. What was the
light source for the first three days of creation before the sun, moon and
stars were created on day four ? :
- Psalm 104:2 refers to
the creation week and says, “[You are the One] Who covers Yourself with light as with a garment, Who stretches out the heavens like
a curtain or tent …”
- Isaiah
45:5-7 says, “I am
the Lord, and there is no other; there is no God besides Me … I am the
Lord, and there is no other; I form
the light and create darkness … I,
the Lord, do all these things.” It is God’s
creation and He can do with it whatever He pleases and when He
pleases.
- Isaiah 60:19 says, “The sun shall no
more be your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to
you, but the Lord shall be to you an everlasting light …” Just as
God was the light source for the earth during the first three days of the
creation week before He created the sun, moon and stars on Day 4, so will
God be the physical earth’s light source one day in the future. God
repeats this promise in Revelation 21:23.
- Daniel 2:22 says, “He knows what
is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.”
- In John 8:12, Jesus says, “I
am the light of the world ...”
- 2
Corinthians 4:6 says, “For God Who said, Let light shine out
of darkness ...” That is exactly what
God did on Day one of the creation week 6,000 years ago.
- 1 Timothy 6:16 says, “… the lord of lords,
who alone has immortality and lives in unapproachable light”.
- James
1:16-18 says, “Do
not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect
gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or
shadow of turning. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of
truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.” The phrase “Father of lights” is an ancient
Jewish expression for God as the
Creator. “Lights” refers to the sun, the moon and the stars. Genesis
1:14-19 also uses this word when describing God’s creation of the sun,
moon and stars on Day 4 of the creation 6,000 years ago.
- 1 John 1:5 says, “… God is Light, and there is no
darkness in Him at all …” This is an explanation for the earth’s light
source during the first three days of the creation week 6,000 years ago
before God created the sun, moon and stars on Day 4.
- Revelation
21:23 says, “And
the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to give light to it, for
the splendor and radiance (glory) of God illuminate it, and the Lamb
is its lamp.” This explains what the earth’s light source was for the
first three days of creation before God created the sun, moon and stars on
Day 4 : God Himself was its light. Just as it was at the beginning (in
Genesis 1), so will it be in the future (in Revelation 21). This repeats
God’s promise to us of Isaiah 60:19.
- Does heaven have light now ? What is heaven’s
light source now if the sun, moon and stars are not in heaven ?! God Himself
is its light.
43. Other creation
Scriptures (the Tower of Babel, Eden and the three of life) :
- Genesis
11:1-9 says, “And the whole earth was of one language and of one
accent and mode of expression. And as they journeyed eastward, they found
a plain (valley) in the land of Shinar, and they settled and dwelt there.
… And they said, Come, let us build us a city and a tower whose top
reaches into the sky, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be
scattered over the whole earth. And the Lord came down to see the city and
the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, Behold, they
are one people and they have all one language; and this is only the
beginning of what they will do, and now nothing they have imagined they
can do will be impossible for them. Come, let Us go down and there
confound (mix up, confuse) their language, that they may not understand
one another’s speech. So the Lord scattered them abroad from that place
upon the face of the whole earth, and they gave up building the city.
Therefore the name of it was called Babel – because there the Lord
confounded the language of all the earth; and from that place the
Lord scattered them abroad upon the face of the whole earth.” The confusion of language at the tower
of Babel occurred about 101 years after the global Flood of 2,348 BC.
- Ezekiel
36:35 says, “And
they shall say, This land that was desolate has become like the garden
of Eden …” Eden and its garden that God planted and placed Adam in
6,000 years ago were real geographical places located in the east. This is
emphasized again in Joel 2:3.
- Joel 2:3 says, “A fire devours
before them, and behind them a flame burns; the land is as the garden
of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness …” As
mentioned in Ezekiel 36:35, Eden and its garden were real geographical
places located in the east where God placed Adam 6,000 years ago after He
had created Adam and then made Eve.
- In Revelation
2:7, Jesus says, “To
him who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant to eat [of the fruit] of
the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.” This is a reference to
the tree of life described in Genesis 2:9 and Genesis 3:24 that God
created in the garden in Eden 6,000 years ago.
44. If God said it, why don’t you believe it … ?
“If you believe what you like in
the Bible, and reject what you like, it’s not the Bible you believe but
yourself …” (Augustine)
