Poetry
is a gift of love that comes from God. An expression
of one's heart
overflowing
with a particular emotion...love, joy, praise or even
sadness or grief.
The Holy
Spirit sometimes moves in the someone's heart
and gives them the gift of
words to write that their voice would not be able to
express. Poetry can be used
as a wonderful way to evangelize and spread the Gospel. It
can be used to
open up lines of communications between others by being
shared in greeting cards,
writing books, and now via the internet. God
is uniting his people all over the
world to share their gifts and talents with others
to make the body of believers strong
again.
Much of
the Bible, especially in the Psalms are poems and prayers
from the
deepest
parts of the writer's souls. The psalmist in Psalm
45:1 expressed his thoughts
this way...
"My tongue
is the pen of a ready writer."
God has
preserved the scriptures to teach us beautiful lessons
about life and his
plan for us. Taking the time to read the scriptures,
shows us how God loves
for his people to share poetry and prayer, through
the gift of the written word.
We hope to combine our
gifts and talents to share the love of God with others, so
that all people in the world will know of the beautiful
gift of salvation that God
has offered us through the death of Jesus Christ
on the cross for our sins.
Through
our joint efforts, we hope to create a haven of peace
that people can express
their innermost thoughts and find refuge from the storms
of life.
If God
has give you the gift of words, we hope that you will
share your heart with us
all.
The LORD
gave the word; great was the company of those who proclaimed
it. Psalm
68:11
