A knight in shining armour‚
Only because it’s been cleaned‚
In order to present to his princess.

Truly tarnished from the battle‚
Stained with sweat and blood‚
Sword drawn high again and again‚
The battle fought bravely.

A knight in shining armour‚
Why don’t we call him a warrior?
It would serve a man more favours‚
If they understood this desire.

A girl needs to be fought for‚
The battle is ongoing and real‚
There is a dragon to be slayed‚
Before the princess can be won.

Forget the ‘shining armour’‚
Just come to me a knight‚
Who’s bravely fought‚
And faced the dangers‚
Of fighting for my heart.

It’s not a ‘one time only’ battle‚
The armour should remain in place‚
My heart requires protection‚
And a lovers’ woo.

Love to bring my heart to rest‚
Love to open the doors‚
Love to bring my heart to trust
