A New Day

A new day arises, with the shining
of the morning sun.
Full of surprises another day with You has begun.
Surrounded by your presence,
and visions of your wondrous face.
You alone are worthy, Lord,
worthy of my reverent praise.
Let every breath I posses,
never cease to worship.
You are my foundation, my rock, my fortress.

You are the only one who sees,
exactly where I stand.
How can it be that you would come to earth for us.
and die, a simple man?
Your fire has began to consume me,
My life is no longer my own.
I feel your Holy Spirit moving through me,
Bringing others to your glorious throne.
As each new day unfolds,
so do the works of your master plan.
I am here to do you bidding
just me, a simple man.

A new day draws to a close,
with the setting of the sun.
Another day of spreading
God’s love and grace has been done.
