A New Sexual Revolution

Yesterday I was horrified and sickened to hear on the news, that on a college campus, atheists
were freely distributing pornography to anyone who would trade in their Bible.

The Bible warns us that satan daily roams around like a roaring lion, seeking who
he may devour.

God left us his word, so we would be wiser than our enemies and not fall into
the trap of the enemy.

In many communities people have been up in arms and angry because
so many women and children have been raped, molested, and murdered…
yet if we allow the distribution of pornography, how can we think that this
will not promote and contribute to these heinous crimes against others.

The Bible says…

Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take
the members of Christ, and make them the members of a harlot? God forbid.

Flee fornication.
Every sin that a man doeth is without the body;
but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you,
which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bough with a price:
therefore, glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Corinthians 6:15,18-20

Women and children are not sex objects to be used and abused freely for the sexual
gratification of others.

One the news this past week, a pediatrician is accused of molesting over 100 children
who were his patients. While the parents were in the waiting room, he abused and
video taped these children.

We fight and protest about the right to free speech, only to misuse that right, to hurt
and harm the rights of others.

God’s word says…

…abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul…
1 Peter 2:11

Each week many of God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Satan and the world sneak into their thoughts and hearts, deceiving

them with subtle traps…that eventually become deadly to our own

souls…and will also hurt others by the choices we make.

Lust comes in many forms…but many times starts with

loneliness and a feeling of being unloved. A young man or

woman may be shy or not have many friends…so they go

into a cocoon of isolation.

Satan sees their loneliness and preys on the innocent victims.

It may start with watching soap operas, sensual movies,

reading lusty romance novels…

dreaming of the perfect prince or princess to whisk them off into

a palace of pleasure and joy. It may be a simple click of the computer

that brings up an evil temptation upon the screen, or a magazine

found in a boy’s locker room, with pictures of beautiful women.

The fantasies soon start to overtake our thoughts…and soon we’re

addicted to evil.

Anything that consumes vast amounts of time can become an idol

to us. Think not???

Just try to stop watching that soap opera you’ve watched

for years…and see what I am talking about.

With the advances in technology, many have thought

it was fun to sext naked or provocative photos of themselves or others.

Many teens and young adults are now being prosecuted for sending pornography

and the exploitation of minors.

They will have to endure public embarrassment, and register

for the rest of their lives as a sex offender.

Looking at pornography, watching or reading sexual material,

eventually leads a person to physically sin. When we do such things,

we drive away God and say we don’t want him in our life. We then put

ourselves at risk for disease and demented behavior.

We’ve seen many politicians, sports and television stars lately in the news

publically admitting they have been unfaithful or abusive to their spouses.

Their sexual addictions hurt their families, reputation, and careers.

God created man and woman to have sex as an act of love and faithfulness

toward one another and to recreate life.

Any other way, makes it unsafe and brings on the wrath of God

and opens the door for Satan to mess up your life. Sex is safe…

when it is done the way God intended!…with the blessing of marriage.

In Matthew 5 beginning in verse 27 Jesus was asked about the

sin of adultery. He said even the thought of committing the act was

the same as the very act.

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath

committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Satan is tempting us to fall into sin, by trying to deceive us.

Don’t fall for his trap. All around the world we see God warning us

that we must turn from our sins. At any moment he may come

and take us from this earth. The Bible says God will come as a thief

in the night.

God has a perfect plan for each one of you. Don’t settle for second

best or risk messing up your life with playing with the fires of lust…

Beloved, the greatest privilege in the world is to know that God loves

us unconditionally and completely. He wants to have an intimate and

loving relationship with you.

If you’ve fallen into lust in the past…God is waiting with open arms to take you back.

He can give you a brand new heart and transform your life into something blessed and beautiful.

Repent of your sins beloved, go and sin no more.

Father we thank you for your words of wisdom to guide and help us to be wiser

than our enemies. We have sinned against you and others in thought, word, and

deed. Help us to turn from our sins, and be transformed by the renewing of our

minds.

Father many are addicted to pornography and wrongful sexual relations. Open

our eyes to see how offensive this is to you and others. Father set the captives

free and empower us to become godly men and women, who will treat our

bodies and others with respect and dignity.

We are created in your image, blessed, and anointed vessels of light, to reach

those who are lost and hurting. Help us to start a new sexual revolution; who

ourselves and others as you love us.

If you are for us, no one can stand against us.

In Jesus’ name we pray.
