Am I Troubling My Own House?

Proverbs 11:29
He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind.

Trouble refers to difficulties or worries, and causes distress or anxiety. A family is precious in God’s eyes and His Word teaches us all we need to know to treasure and maintain our own families. But if arguments, lack of trust, unpaid bills or unresolved issues are “running amuck” in your home, the devil has found a nesting place. Something’s got to give, if you want security and loving relationships to dominate the home.

God will show us how to put the devil’s advocates “in the wind.” The Bible tells us to examine ourselves to see whether we’re “in the faith.”

First check your own self, and see if your mishaps are affecting your normal state of mind. Your worrying makes others miserable and that alone changes the atmosphere. You’re tense and the family tiptoes around you. That’s unhealthy for all of you. Distress and anxiety are troubling everyone, even the pets.

Repent of the being bitter to the one, and by provoking the others to wrath, and continually giving out menacing words to the rest. Those who are idle, contributing nothing are addressed in the Scriptures: “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.” At the “round table” air things out so the “sun won’t go down on your wrath” another day.

The youngsters must not be provoked, but trained up in the way they should go that when they’re old that training will remain. Wives are to obey their husbands as it is fit in the Lord, and the husbands must love their wives as Christ loves the Church and gave himself for it. That’s the Bible truth. As hardships come, so they will go, when the family that prays to stay together, begins to obey the Word of God. Satan can’t remain where Faith, Hope and Love abide.

I love you but God loves you more

Prayerfully yours,
Lil
