Be a Living Testimony…by Ally Wells

How many times have you heard people tell you to live your life as a testimony for Jesus? Probably a lot‚ but do you really understand what it means? God calls us to have him as our number one priority in our lives; he wants us to live only for him. But not many do.

In our daily lives there are actually many ways that we can live for Christ‚ a lot of the times we tend to skip over them. During the day‚ we can do just about anything for Jesus. I’ve been joking lately that I drive my car for Jesus. I have about 5 Christian bumper stickers (from Jesus loves you to King Kong is not my grandpa). If while I’m driving I flip someone off‚ or cut him or her off‚ is that giving a good witness? I don’t think so.

We‚ as Christians are not only supposed to give our testimony‚ but live our testimonies. You may not realize it‚ but chances are that people are watching you; they listen to the words you say‚ and watch the actions you do. We all make mistakes‚ and we all sin‚ but it is important to know that its not just what you believe but what you do that people will see.

Set an example for the believers in speech‚ in life‚ in love‚ in faith and in purity (1 Timothy 4:12‚ NIV)

Remember‚ live your whole life for Jesus. Not only will he rock your world‚ but he will also help bring others to know him through you.

And in the meantime‚ I’m baking a cake for Jesus‚ oh yeah!
