As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death‚
I can feel his presence‚
I can feel his breath‚
I can almost feel the hurt when they slashed him across the chest‚
I bet they didn’t know that he would die for all the rest‚
they stood with joy as they hit him across his back‚
they stared and laughed as they watched his skin crack.
I can almost feel the pain when they cursed his name‚
when they threw him on the cross like it was just a game.
they stretched his arms and put nails in his hands‚
then they took his feet and they did it again.
he hung on that cross as his life grew thin‚
but in the ninth hour it came to an end.
as the skies grew dark‚ people trembled with fear‚
so don’t pass up your chance‚ draw him near.
God gave his only Son to pay for your sin‚
the least you can do‚ is let him be your best friend.
