Every good and perfect gift
Comes down from the Father of Lights.
As we are given a blessing‚
So should we give into one another’s life.

The flow of a true blessing
Frees us to serve God in all of our ways.
We return to God a blessing through others‚
That God would receive adoration and praise.

God’s blessings are not meant
To be wasted in our own selfish plans.
This quenches a blessing from God‚
As it evaporates out of your hand.

What some call blessings
Can end up not being blessings at all.
For a blessing cannot be a blessing‚
If it causes you to stumble and fall.

God does not give a blessing
Just so we may have a surplus.
A blessing from the Master’s Hand
Is sent to fulfill His purpose.

God disperses His blessings
That they may continue as a river flows.
In the gift He has blessed you with‚
Bless others that it might grow.

These good and perfect gifts called blessings‚
Must fulfill what God has planned.
For a true blessing can only bless‚
As it is released out of your hand.
