“….but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.”
God wants His daughters to allow Him to “Make,” build, shape, and mold them and then bring them to the mate He’s chosen for them. As with Adam, when the brother is brought into “sleep – a lesser state of mobility, God takes away what’s unnecessary for his survival – ( the rib).
When the God-ordained woman is brought to him, he’ll know her as his mate – his missing piece – the helpmeet God made or appointed just for him. She will suit him so well, it would feel as if she proceeded straight out of his dreams.
This divine mating causes them to “cleave” to one another and become “one flesh.” The Lord intends for His children to be divinely yoked together so they can plow the kingdom of heaven together for Him.
And as Proverbs 3:22 states: “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.” Even as Christ loves the Church, He wants husbands to love, nourish, and cherish their wives so that the wife will be submissive unto her own husband as directed by the Word.
And this “virtuous woman” will be the light of his life when he remembers that she is what Peter called “the weaker vessel” and cleaves unto her just as believers cleave unto Christ.
