Emmanuel …by Dylan Crummer
From a little baby, innocent and sweet
To a man so just, he would be crowned king
From before his birth, they spoke of a time
When the war would be won, that a new hope would shine
His life a reflection, of our Father in the sky
So powerful in humility, that he would chose to die
A man of full faith, the image of perfection
Born a human being, God as his creation
This so undeserving, a love beyond our scope
To suffer so unnecessarily, that we may know hope
Royalty in our midst, the greatest there ever would be
But to be so blinded, only a few could see
The light walking in darkness, his words they held as truth
Accepting him as Lord, only with him would they move
This infant born, so fragile and small
Trusted to a world of vultures, to be a martyr for us all
That we may live, in eternity with him
The mind boggles, why us? we people of sin
All we need to do is accept, that his story be true
That a love like this does exist, and he is willing to give it to you.
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:37-40
