Forgiveness
Forgiveness
By Harold Eirich
Mark 11:25, And when you stand praying if you hold anything against anyone,
forgive him, so that your Father in Heaven may forgive you your sins.
Moses killed a man, the Lord forgave him and used him to bring out the slaves from Egypt.
David committed adultery, then planned and had a murder carried out….God forgave him and used him.
Saul, who killed Christians, the Lord forgave him; Then used him to further the Gospel.
He became Paul, who wrote some books of the Bible.
So the Lord can forgive you no matter what you have done.
In 1988 I took a man’s life.
His son, (6), and daughter (8), were outside the kitchen on the porch.
I knew they were there but didn’t care. During the trial I laughed at them.
Was proud of killing a Christian man.
Well, I received life in prison. Now years later (2003) I found Jesus and for the first time in 17
years I prayed for Jesus….
I said “take my pain, my bitterness, my hatred.”
Well, He did. I also, prayed for the young family to forgive me and I would
do or go anywhere to help this happen.
As of 1988, 15 years, I finally asked and showed remorse. I cried in the arms of two prison
ministry men who helped me find Jesus.
Three months later, the Lord directed my footsteps here to Monroe.
Danny and Chris, whom I write, said the Lord brought you to Monroe to meet someone.
Boy, how right they were.
Remember my prayer, I’ll go or do anything to help forgiveness to come?
I received a letter from Tim. He said, “You don’t know me or don’t remember me. I was there
that November night when you took my father’s life. I want to come and see you.”
I FREAKED OUT!!!! I prayed and said, “Lord, God help me in this time. Tim is now 22 years
old…it has been 16 years.”
Well, I sent him forms and he got approved to come in and I knew who he was immediately.
I said, “Tim I am so sorry. Can you please forgive me?”
Tim said, “Yes, Harold I have many years ago. I wanted to come to tell you that and to let you
know, all my family has forgiven you and have prayed that you would find Jesus.”
I told him that I had and we cried. Also, he asked if I would pray for his sister who is going to
Iraq. I said that I would.
Tim said, “Harold I am glad you found Jesus…He can forgive and His love is never ending.”
So know the Lord can forgive all!!!!
