I Needn’t Be Rich

I was not blessed with being rich
nor did I ever have a good paying job.
I reckon the labor made me stronger
and I have very little one would want to rob.

I don’t have to worry about the fast cars
or a great big home with pool and tennis court.
I’m just a regular kind of person
who has Jesus in my heart – I’m that kind of sort.

Jesus said it’s hard to get into Heaven if you’re rich
there are too many other things to think of.
I’m sure that’s true! I’ll never be rich
but I’ll be happy in God’s love.

I pray to God alot, He has seen me
through some hard days.
Yes, it is true – happy is the person
who reads their Bible and constantly prays.
