Lord, Here I Am

Well, Lord, here I am today trying
to get it started the proper way.
Thank You for my blessings
every single one every day.

Yes, thank You, Lord, for what You have
done for me – I deserve nothing at all.
As a child of God I have an eternal home
I know one day my name He shall call.

Everything else really doesn’t matter
whether I’m feeling fit and well or not.
Because I have accepted the Good News of Salvation
It is the very best thing I’ve got!

I hope I can help others along life’s
highway as it goes in all directions.
I also pray that you will be happy
and show others God’s love and affections.

I’ll end this poem with the Holy Spirit
inside of me telling me what to write.
All praise be to You, Lord, forever!
All those who believe will see your eternal light.
