One Day

One day you will take me home to see

The heavenly place prepared for me

My life on earth will fade from view

The minute I set eyes on you.

You will wipe away the pain and tears

Never again will I know fear

Joyfully singing every day

And serving you in every way

The streets of gold and gates of pearls

Are nothing like the earthly world

No more seas that separate

To cause division of race or hate.

Your fountain of life will freely flow

The tree of life will feed me so

I then will know true paradise

And have with God, eternal life.
