real poem: Easter

Is more than lillies
More than choir songs
More than outward dress
And crowds by the throng
 
It’s a cold filthy grave
That barren remains
It’s the rise of One
Who took away our stains
 
Easter is joyous news-
A pile of grave clothes
A stone out of place
Evidence that He rose
