Although the rest of Kotti’s family did not follow the Lord, they welcomed Prasod, even preparing a special meal for him. That evening, Prasod told them about some Christian DVDs he had with him. The family agreed to watch one with him. But after just 20 minutes, Dinesh, one of the family members, angrily turned the movie off. He accused Prasod of trying to forcibly convert them. Dinesh told Prasod to leave the home as soon as he could. Knowing this was the kind of anger that often leads to persecution against missionaries, Prasod couldn’t relax as he was forced to stay inside the house for the night. He prayed urgently for safety. The following day, however, he still couldn’t leave because of the heavy snow and ice. The family knew he couldn’t go anywhere, but they refused to give him meals or water. On the third day, Prasod cried out to the Lord. He was still snowed in and hungry, but that evening, to his amazement, Dinesh and several other family members came to him, asking for forgiveness and eager to finish watching the movie. In awe of the Lord’s work in their hearts, Prasod showed the movie and ended up praying with Dinesh, who wanted to follow the Lord. The family hosted Prasod for several more days, during which time they watched all nine other Christian DVDs Prasod had with him. Today, Dinesh and Kotti are part of a brand-new fellowship. Prasod continues visiting to counsel and encourage believers in that village, where snow and ice brought the opportunity for Kotti’s family to turn to the Lord. Prasod asks for prayer that many more hearts will open to Jesus through his ministry. Read about a teenager who was delivered from demons through a GFA–supported missionary’s prayers.
