The Eternal Character of God…by Sarah Renae Mills

I’ve been reading from the book of Daniel in my quiet times. Daniel 10:10-20 is where Daniel had been praying and seeking God about something‚ but the angel who had the answer to his prayer was held back for a while by an angel of darkness from Satan’s Kingdom. There was a lot going on in the spiritual realm that Daniel couldn’t see.

I’m sure he was wondering if his answer was ever going to come. But it did come because our God is a faithful God. Lately as I’ve been praying in the mornings it seems as if I haven’t been getting anywhere ‚ but I have to trust God and look at it all with my spiritual eyes. I have to know‚ that I know‚ that I know‚ I’m changing things in the spiritual atmosphere as I’m praying for this nation.
I must press in… Not give up… Keep persevering…

Lately God’s been speaking to me a lot about hope. What can we place our hope in? We can place our hope in the eternal character of God. God’s character never changes. You have to KNOW that He is a faithful God. That He truly is Jehovah-Jireh. Yes‚ I know‚ easier said then done. But if we truly believe and trust in God’s character‚ if we truly know Him for who He is‚ then we wouldn’t be afraid of the things around us. That is why we must dig deeper to find the character of our God‚ to find out who He is.
He has given us an eternal hope.
