The Miracle of Christmas

Quietly, quietly rest thy head,

Baby Jesus on your straw lined bed.

Listen, listen to the silence of the starlit night,

One star shining ever so bright.

The angels sing their lullaby

in the sounds of the Christ Childs cry.

Sweet melody of wonder so softly sung,

to Jesus the Christ, the Blessed One.

Feel, feel the Hope, the Peace

The fullness of the heart-love released.

The touch, the touch of the hand

The caress, loving and true.

Tender Jesus, we open our hearts to you!

We sing our Songs of Praise,

Our sounds of exaltation raise.

We are touched with His Peace,

His Joy and His Love.

A gift to us from God above.

Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas Day.

He came in human form to show us “The Way.”

So let us walk with Him, Our Eternal Light.

And remember the Babe in the manger that silent, starlit night
