Trials

I know there is Heaven that we go to
when God calls our name.
Being reborn takes care of that,
our spirits are one and the same.

The trials we go through reinforce
my belief of going to Glory Land.
If everything was perfect here
where would we go after our last stand?

The Lord gives us trials to get through
to see how we handle them and how we act.
He keeps a running ticket on us so
at the end He knows where we will go at.

Believe it or not – I’m just a messenger
to write things down.
When the Lord wants me He lets me know
that’s why I’m around!

Whenever my last poem is written
I’m going to Glory Land sure as can be.
So when we get trials, pray for help -
the Lord will fortify and set us free.
